  1. I've seen him do the same thing before in the past... seems like he only pinch runs if the tying/winning run is on base. I think he left Reese because even if Semien hits a double, Reese can stop at 3rd because Semien needs to score in order to tie that game. Not saying the logic is great but that seems to be the pattern.
  2. This survey is way too long. Worse than the long form census even
  3. Fair. There's really no way to truly measure the impact of a manager. I just can't agree with that Cleveland game though. You can't just sit on your hands in the final inning and do nothing while your pitcher absolutely implodes on the mound. Especially when said pitcher literally did the same thing a week prior. And looked shaky in the previous inning. And looked shaky his previous appearance against the Yankees. That was extremely bad managing.
  4. Remember when the Jays shat on Glasnow but got shut down by Yarbrough? Yeah it happens
  5. Ah yes, we definitely used all our best relievers last night. Definitely “all out”. Stop making s*** up. Charlie did a good job managing last night but we were lucky the Marlins didn’t score any runs when Payamps came in with runners on. Bullpen did well to hold the score. But lets not make things up and say Charlie went “all out” to hold the score. He kept his high leverage guys out, which is fine. Maybe he should have used one of those guys we used last night to relieve Chatwood in Cleveland when he couldn’t hit a barn door from 20 feet...
  6. Acuna 10/124 Lets meet in the middle haha. Damn that Acuna contract is robbery, he’s gonna be the most underpaid player in baseball for quite some time
  7. So crazy, didn’t realize we even had any other relievers besides Dolis/Romano/Chatwood...
  8. That was beautiful. 9 inning comeback in the pouring rain with a home crowd finally cheering for the Jays
  9. Damn lol 2 intentional walks in a row?? Is Charlie managing the Marlins??
  10. Seems like a bit of an early hook... but the bullpen is well-rested and we have an offday tomorrow so its probably a good move.
  11. Yankees would die if Cole got injured. Losing Judge would also really hurt them. Braves/Acuna Twins/Buxton Giants/Gausman
  12. You mean it wasn’t a good idea to sign an extremely injury-prone pitcher on the wrong side of 30 to a massive contract after a career year coming off winning WS MVP?
  13. What a bad 9th jeez. More base runners than they had all game. Hate hate hate walking guys in the late innings
  14. Pretty much. I know the tightly packed sections of the park are only for fully-vaccinated (both doses required). There are non-vaccinated sections that are more spaced out I believe.
  15. Are they just going to edit the umpire out of the replay somehow? I agree with your idea but it isn’t possible to implement
  16. Are we really surprised at this point?
  17. I thought Manoah was going tonight... hopefully tomorrow
  18. Charlie does the typical R/L matchups in every situation no matter the stats. Hitters and pitchers. He’s dumn
  19. People that were upset about Chatwood being removed from the Tampa game are stupid.
