  1. Yeah I agree this is it. Owners don’t give a s*** about April and I believe they had always planned to punt the first month to put massive pressure on the players union to accept a favorable deal.
  2. If you’re on the owners side over the players, I ask you this: Why did the owners feel the need to start canceling games already? There’s 30 days till opening day… Very scummy. f*** the owners
  3. The players refused mediation because it just slows things down and doesn’t even work. Read about the 1994 strike. Mediation was a bs offer by the owners to try and look good in the press, seems like it worked on some people.
  4. As someone else pointed out it the comments, this is likely due to the lockout. Makes sense, if he’s employed by a team then he’s currently not allowed to work with any MLBPA members, which would include Bo. So Dante quits so he can train with Bo, Jays sign him back on after the lockout.
  5. Damn what a throwback. Also, his wife is a smokeshow. Lucky guy
  6. Probably closer to 3 months from spring training at this point
  7. After learning just how much of a massive POS he is I don’t feel so bad about him missing the hall. Obviously he should be in based on his numbers alone but the HoF is clearly not just about numbers. It is what it is.
  8. It would probably be easier to just payout the bonus pool based on MVP voting
  9. This is great news
  10. Lol. Ok so lets say by 2025 they get a new stadium. Maybe. How many years of poor attendance before they finally decide to relocate? 5 years after that? 2025 - new stadium opens 2030 - team moves cities Sounds like a great waste of time, resources and money.
  11. And to think, he really only spent the time searching through old footage for trash can banging because he is a salty Yankees fan. If Jomboy was a Cardinals fan, does he even bother putting so much time into the investigation and do the Astros even get caught/punished??
  12. Honestly its seems like it was actually good for him that he came up in 2019 and DIDN’T set the league on fire… he was always the best hitter on the field at every level throughout his life and that completely changed in 2019. And IMO he gets a pass for 2020, it was the pandemic and nobody knew when the season would actually start. Looks like he definitely wants to put in the work to remain in the top echelon of current MLB hitters
  13. Good points yeah, this system likely wouldn’t do anything to fix the problem. And im not really sure there IS a way to fix the problem
  14. Someone else mentioned above they were talking about awarding extra draft picks to teams that have a top 150 prospect finish top 5 in ROY voting?? So I guess the idea would be to award the teams that promote prospects, as opposed to punishing teams for NOT promoting prospects.
  15. Amsinger regularly does MLB tonight alongside Harold Reynolds and sometimes guys like Plesac.
  16. Brian Kenney is new-age and generally has great opinions, but he’s not a former major leaguer. I also enjoy Greg Amsinger’s enthusiasm about everything… You can see a pattern here
  17. Guess this means less homers for Vlad and more rope singles off the wall
  18. Go-soo-kay Kah-tow would be my guess??
  19. The OFFICIAL MLB channel is getting rid of/banning inarguably the sport’s best reporter Yup, sounds like MLB. Actively working to destroy any sense of progress and growth
  20. Wow that seems odd. Still playes good D and can hit for league average wRC+.... and only 34 years old. Would have loved to have him on the Jays for a season or two, but maybe no teams were offering him a guaranteed starting job
  21. Off the top of my head, some extremely bad ones are: Stanton, Pujols, Fielder
  22. Good move by the Mets IMO. That org/clubhouse has been in shambles since the departure of Terry Collins. Showalter has managed in NY before and he’s managed big attitude players like Manny.
