  1. You can’t trade for Ohtani if the other team is unwilling to trade him
  2. Nimmo is definitely within the realm of possibility if they decide to trade Teo. Would probably cost about the same, maybe an extra 5 million AAV or so. Conforto would mean Springer in CF for another season. Depends on the cost savings.
  3. Has to be DeGrom
  4. Mets are 100% signing Judge now.
  5. Lol yeah that’s gonna be me tomorrow. Gotta listen to my uncle tell me about how the Jays suck, even though I probably watched more jays games this week than he watched all year.
  6. Alright so in 3 of the 4 series, the home team lost. Maybe homefield advantage isn’t as important as everyone thought.
  7. Don’t remind me…
  8. Soto with the finishing blow. Unless the Mets pull off a comeback similar to the Mariners yesterday, season is over for them. What a disappointment
  9. Musgrove shoving tonight
  10. Not looking good for the Mets
  11. Yeah i’d rather not be that team. Things can go downhill really quick past 40
  12. Maybe, maybe not. Either way, Tapia was the wrong move. Maybe it wouldn’t have mattered… we’ll never know
  13. Age is not on his side
  14. He shouldn’t have been in the game. You have a defense-first outfielder on the bench, JBJ. The team had a 7 run lead. Merrifield got hit and Schneider decided to take him out. Fine. But you gotta go JBJ there, not Tapia. JBJ has a better glove than Tapia, that is 100% established. You don’t need Tapia’s slightly better bat in there when your team is up by 7 runs.
  15. Hell f***ing no. Glad you aren’t GM
  16. I felt comfortable going into game 3 with Stripling vs Gilbert. Yesterday’s game was extremely mismanaged, to the point it now sits as one of the greatest comeback wins in postseason history. Glad Montoyo is gone. Schneider was pretty good all year but for some reason suffered a number of brain farts last night. Mayza vs Santana and Tapia as defensive replacement over Bradley are 100% inexcusable. Those moves should never happen in a postseason game.
  17. Depends on cost and if we want another 30+ player on the team for several years. Probably a better idea to go after someone younger or a cheaper CF with a lesser bat
  18. Most valuable players this season? Manoah, Gausman, Romano, Kirk Most improved player? Kirk, Manoah, Stripling Biggest dissappoint of the season? Berrios and Pearson. Kikuchi too perhaps. How do you rate the front office? Shapiro - A Love his renovation plans. Beer at the dome was much improved this season. The food needs to be better. Atkins - C No shrewd moves this year. No impact players at the deadline. Gausman signing looks good, Berrios extension and Kikuchi signing look bad. Tapia got way too much playtime. How do you rate the Coaching Staff? Who should stay who should go? They can all stay for 1 more year IMO. GAPS Analysis. What were we missing the most this year? A shutdown bullpen guy to put out fires. Think Andrew Miller, Wade Davis, etc. Overall team culture fun group but young and unfocused. They have strong chemistry but need to work on the fundamentals.
  19. Yea. Schneider was asleep at the wheel at that point I think.
  20. Grisham could be nice. For Kirk though?? Idk about that. Maybe if we make it a bigger trade and they send an arm our way.
  21. Lol dude that comment was from before game 2. Scherzer had just imploded and they lost to the Padres 7-1 at home. Sure they likely feel better after last night’s game, but if they lose today it will be a tough offseason for their fans.
  22. What a tool lol. Apparently the dude is just chilling in Miami
  23. Not to mention the magic/team of destiny stuff they clearly have going on this year. 13 walkoff wins?? They are very clutch
  24. I’d say Gausman did pretty well. Box score looks bad but he probably could have gotten out of that inning with only 1 ER. And the offense scored 9 runs. That should be more than enough to win a ballgame.
