  1. Yeah I agree with this. They are all great catchers that most teams would love to have. Just gotta find the best trade fit with another team.
  2. I would argue your reasons for trading Jansen are dumb. But obviously YOU are right so it doesn’t matter what I say
  3. If you can get more value out of a Moreno trade, then you go ahead and do it. Jansen/Kirk is still a great combo and veteran catchers are very easy to sign via free agency if needed once/if Jansen leaves. Vet catcher + Kirk still works. This team/lineup can survive with a defense-first catcher if needed.
  4. Yes exactly. Kirk is just not a great fit on the team with the way the roster is currently constructed. He’s like 50% DH, but we already have 3-4 guys rotating through the DH spot with Springer/Teo/Gurriel/Vladdy.
  5. He also likely has the highest trade value. It doesn’t take a genius to understand why people would be in favor of trading him
  6. I suppose, but I thought obstruction always automatically awards the next base. Baseball has a lot of weird rules
  7. Yeah except when it’s called on a base you have the extra caveat that the runner is supposed to be awarded an extra base on an obstruction call right?
  8. There's a reddit thread on it here: Short answer: nobody is really sure. Seems to be an "umpire interpretation" rule
  9. Gotta love having playoff baseball every night.
  10. Jesus christ who is this Cleveland replay guy
  11. Looks like it missed him from the front angle
  12. Donaldson is terrible at the plate now, jeez. Dude must have a 50% K rate over the past few weeks
  13. Yeah that was awful. Maybe Francona decided for himself?
  14. The season is 162 games long for a reason. Over that time, the luck balances out. But in a single game or a short 5/7 game series, luck can absolutely be the deciding factor. I am not saying the Jays lost because of bad luck. But its was A factor. If people try to claim luck is not a factor in baseball, I don’t really know what to say.
  15. This is the dumbest s*** i’ve ever read
  16. Ok just watching the replays/condensed games between the Yanks/Cleveland since I missed them… A LOT of luck going Cleveland’s way honestly. So many bloop hits, balls just out of reach for NY defenders, errors by NY, balls just fair down the foul line… I would be so pissed as a Yankees fan. That 10th inning in game 2 was brutal, should have been 0 runs for Cleveland there.
  17. Its nice to see Hader and Soto actually contribute for them. Both guys have been extremely underwhelming for them in the regular season. But trades like this are made for the postseason anyways, so those look like good moves for the Padres now
  18. Holy s***, Dodgers bout to get f***ing bounced. Looking like Houston over Seattle will be the only expected outcome of the playoffs so far
  19. Why? They have a lot of great players
  20. Lol reddit private? What a bunch of wienies
  21. Kinda feel bad for the Mariners… wait 20 years for a playoff game and then they don’t score a single run in their only home game. Also f*** the Yanks
  22. This front office built an amazing bullpen with Anthony Bass, Yimi Garcia, Tim Mayza and Adam Cimber. Just had some bad luck.
  23. Why not? Neither are “gross teams” just notably weaker than teams like the Dodgers/Braves/Mets. But that’s the randomness of baseball
