    I don’t really see how that’s the GM’s fault. They failed spectacularly in that game 2 vs Seattle. Had they won that and lost the next game, would people be feeling any better? 2021 hurts more IMO

    It was also part of Semien’s whole thing to market himself as flexible SS/2B to open up his options for free agency. Does Texas sign him to that deal if he had played SS instead of 2B?? No, because they signed Seager. If Semien signed a multi-year deal for the Jays I have no doubt he would have been the SS and Bo would have been moved to 2B

    You just knew it was coming after SD missed out on Turner and Judge while reportedly having the highest offers on both guys.

    Yeah even if Nimmo only plays CF for a year or two, you'd think Nimmo/Springer at the corners for 25 mil each isn't necessarily a bad idea. Both should still have above-average defense at the corners and likely stay above the 115wRC mark for the duration of their contracts. We have maybe 1 potentially exciting OF prospect in the org right now and he isn't very close.

    Yeah pretty spot-on except you forgot Austin Riley/Braves. Houston seems to be smart with their signings and their biggest commitments rn are Bregman and Altuve both under 200 mil.

    Turner-Harper-Realmuto-Schwarber is probably better IMO or at least very close. Or Altuve-Abreu-Alvarez-Bregman

    Imagine how the Padres feel. Had the highest bid for 2 top free agents and both declined. Im expecting the Padres to overpay big time on one of Rodon/Correa/Swanson

    Yeah Conforto should be a prime target if he’s looking for 1 year. Or even something similar to what Haniger got. Comfortable with Conforto for 3/50

    Why wouldn’t we give Stripling 30 starts if he signed back here? Likely we’d still keep him on the 5-6 inning per start thing, but I see no reason he shouldn’t get 30 starts if healthy. Even if Berrios bounces back Stripling would be the #4. And im sure someone will get injured

    Seemed obvious the Giants were out on Judge once they signed Haniger. And timing of it. Getting both didn’t make much sense for them.
