Maybe Jays FO is banking on the fact that most other teams in the running won’t see him as a SS. I could see him choosing to stay with the Jays if the money is close but they guarantee him the SS spot
Stroman would have helped in 2021 and 2022 though.... and the contract would be nearing its end by now. Ahhh hindsight is wonderful ain't it. Who knows how things would have gone down.
I watched a few clips and noticed a lot of middle-middle pitches that the Rays were just not hitting today.... makes you wonder. They are supposed to be best in the league BY FAR at this.
Their FO insistence on receiving 3-4 pieces for every trade is the main issue. They prefer having more mediocre pieces instead of 1 or 2 good players, and they haven't "hit" on a diamond in the rough in ages. They really need to change their whole front office mindset on assessing trade pieces coming back.
Im not sure man its just the easiest explanation. (Pitch com stealing) There’s no way guys like Taylor Walls and Luke Raley are better hitters than Vlad f***ing Guerrero. And its the entire Tampa lineup.
You’d think more people would be accusing them of cheating with their numbers still being this good 2 months into the season now…
That’s great and all, but doesn’t really explain how or why they are murdering balls in the center of the plate. Still have to account for timing on the swing (fastball vs change vs curve etc.)
This makes more sense if they know what’s coming already…
Nah man its just tough to watch right now, and they’ve dug themselves a hole already. I’m tired of every season looking the same, it would be nice to get off to a good start and coast into the playoffs just once.
