  1. Uhhhh are you claiming 30 percentage points off on projections is "slightly off"?? Varsho is in the Jansen/Kirk territory rn
  2. Yeah there's no way all those guys pan out anyways, even the Rays and Dodgers don't "hit" on every highly touted prospect
  3. Whit will probably get the majority of 2B at bats going forward... might see a corner OF or 2B upgrade at the deadline also
  4. 2 of my key guys on offense (Springer and Trea Turner) have been awful.
  5. Jays are still 11th on offense (by wRC+) and 13th in runs scored. On the pitching/D side they are 7th in xFIP and 1st for DRS. They pretty much carried out what they meant to do, improve the D and make the offense more dynamic. Speedy guys like Whit, Varsho and KK. Although to this point, a lot of guys have been underperforming. Realistically the offense should improve to just outside the top 5 by the end of the year. Guys like Kirk, Jansen, Springer, Varsho, Belt should have better stats by the end.
  6. Yeah sucks but that’s how it goes sometimes. 3-4 against the Yanks this year overall which isn’t too bad… hopefully some better results vs the Os
  7. Probably should’ve won this game. Really bad luck with RISP again…. Ah well. Just focus on winning the next series
  8. Embarrassing that the umps changed the original call
  9. Vlad has seemed pretty on point though, can’t remember any errors from him really
  10. Doesn’t really make much sense to me. I do think Chapman has taken a step back defensively this year but there’s no way he’s below average
  11. And yeah I agree on this. We desperately needed an outfielder for the next few years. If they ended up signing Nimmo then maybe this trade doesn't happen.
  12. Kirk has 241 games in the majors and a career 120wRC+ even with his recent struggles Moreno has 59 games with a 106 wRC+ fueled by a career .378 BABIP There's a major gap between the two still. Obviously Moreno is the better defender. Anyways that's all i'm getting at. People are being a bit unfair in their current assessment of Kirk while overlooking the fact that Moreno's numbers could very well be a mirage.
  13. I’ll take Kirk tonight
  14. I saw his eyes move just before he made the pick. Suspicious
  15. If its a 1 year trade then fine, but no this is a trade with many years of control attached. You can’t start changing your mind 6 weeks in. And you’re acting like we’ve never seen a rookie have success for a few weeks and then fizzle out to nothing. Like come on dude, you can’t be serious here. You’re smarter than this.
  16. The OF pipeline has been an absolute disaster for years. Snider, Thames, Gose, Pompey, Alford, etc. were all supposed to be decent-above average players. All highly rated prospects that just never did anything. The only decent OFs we developed were Pillar, Lourdes (moved from INF) and Teo (mostly developed in the Astros system)
  17. I would absolutely disagree with this statement. Its f***ing Baseball dude, there’s 162 games
  18. Yeah this isn’t a video game. Some people seem to forget
