  1. Dude was crying in the press interview lol. Kinda feel bad for him but also don’t
  2. Hell yeah, this is the Kirk we need
  3. Like, its definitely 100% a coaching/approach issue. Vlad looks like an MVP with the bases empty. Men on?? He swings like Biggio
  4. Not even the first time this has happened to the Jays this season
  5. Its actually insane at this point how bad they’ve been with RISP. Can’t be random variance
  6. If Kirk, or Vlad, or Varsho could start hitting even within 75% of their projections that would be great
  7. Canha is a nice target
  8. Its a hard choice because obviously he’s useless rn and for this year he’s a punt. But it would not be surprising to see him as a decent back-end 5/6 starter as soon as 2024. Multiple years of control still. Will probably see him as the 5th starter for the Reds or something next year
  9. Extra salt if Stroman demands #6 and the org takes it from Manoah haha. (I know it wouldn’t happen but still fun to think about)
  10. This HR was from Sunday, technically his 7th including yesterday. Stats wiped out from rain. Absolutely love his load and swing. The in-game power seems to be developing with better timing and getting use to AA pitching. Better plate discipline to follow. Great bat to ball skills This shouldn’t be a thing at any level, in any sport, ever. Period. How stupid.
  11. He looked great in the WBC too. Not sure what happened
  12. You could say he has too much of a heart maybe?? They were really slow to move Kikuchi out of the rotation last year too. Cavan has been given more opportunities than most FOs would allow too. Keeping Bo at SS instead of finding a top defender when they keep talking about the importance of “run prevention”. Several odd decisions placing too much faith in guys that don’t necessarily deserve it.
  13. You read the first couple sentences and ignored the rest of what I wrote…
  14. Yeah definitely seems that way, and its very puzzling…. If he isn’t out of the rotation by the time Ryu is ready then idk what’s even happening. You can’t justify keeping him in the rotation over Kikuchi
  15. Oh come on, even legit Aces can have a dumpster fire start every now and then. Probably not with 0 Ks but maybe like 2-3. And yeah im not really arguing that giving Manoah another start is the right choice or not, just arguing the decision shouldn’t be made based on 1 bad start since his return to the rotation. If it were up to me he would have been sent to AAA by mid-May and he wouldn’t have been back yet.
  16. He looked good in Detroit though?? Can’t really pull the plug after 1 bad start when we don’t even have a decent replacement. If so then you gotta ask the front office “why did you even bother bringing him back?” Not enough data to know yet if he’s still s***. 1 more start. Coincides with Ryu’s return. Makes sense IMO.
  17. Lol of course its the Mariners… where this whole problem started. I feel like you give him 1 more start to see if the tires fall off again. He looked good against Detroit his 1st start back but then back to terrible last night… i’d give him 1 more. If he sucks next start, he gets replaced by Ryu
  18. He’s such a dumbass. Like dude shut your mouth lol
  19. Yanks, Rays, Orioles all lost yesterday. Good day for the Jays
  20. Yup. Just the f***ing Redsox and Os have changed our season from looking ELITE to Pretty Good
  21. Jays have been healthy yes, but getting extreme underperformance from quite a number of key guys, Vlad/Kirk/Varsho/Manoah/2B
  22. Clearly we don’t fear the Braves whatsoever, spanked their asses easily already. WS Jays/Braves is basically an automatic W
  23. You’re right, these are all clearly handshake deals that were made before the draft or day of. Fits together too cleanly. But its a great job Atkins has done the last few years.
