    Well it started with him hitting 5th, then with Bo out they just moved everyone up. But yes I agree Chapman should hit 4 and Springer either 5 or 6

    My BORED team was supposed to have Trea and Springer as 2 of my staples on offense… guess I probably should’ve sold before the season started 😩 Also traded for both Mahle and Wong before the season…. Mahle spending the entire year on the IL and Wong having the worst year of his career by far

    That is also fair, maybe the guys (Springer/Vlad/Kirk/etc) are stubborn dumbos. Its just with guys like Varsho for example I fully believe they led him astray.

    As someone else mentioned earlier in another thread, there is a major discrepancy in wOBA VS xWOBA with flyball direction. Vladdy is pulling less and hitting more to CF than he has in the past. This could account for some of the discrepancy, but I do agree his numbers should get better

    Definitely lots of things to figure out with the infield next year. Likely need to fill 2 spots (3B/2B) and that’s assuming Bichette will be 100% I totally think we’ll go after Anderson on a cheap 1 year deal. He can start at 2nd and backup SS much like Semien did. 3B may be a rotation of guys from Buffalo all year, Barger/Orelvis/Otto/Ernie/etc.

    Im 100% convinced the coaches f***ed with Varsho in spring when he should have been left alone. Now he may be broken. Exactly what you are saying about some young guys being impressionable and easy to coach… sometimes to their detriment. An easy example is what happened with Sonny Gray when he went to the Yanks. They toyed with his repertoire and he was awful. Then as soon as he leaves he’s back to being good. The same can happen with hitters. Im not sure if its an organizational issue coming from the top, or just the collection of coaches on the Jays staff right now. But clearly something is wrong.

    Well it makes sense… radiation/chemotherapy absolutely erodes the muscles and bones

    Sure yeah. He had an awful strikeout on the typical low and away slider though in his 2nd AB. Just needs to avoid that
