    Former MVP winner. Also plays much better D. Younger. But yeah everyone here pretty much agrees he's not worth more than 150 million.

    Would you have signed Bellinger for 8/200 last year?? That’s the difference here. He’s extremely risky and we don’t really know what he is going forward. Soto is the closest thing to a sure bet as a free agent could be.

    I don’t think anyone will argue that signing Bellinger is good long-term. But, of the available free agents, Bellinger is likely the best bat we can add to the lineup next year. Best fit too. Lefty OF with pop, can cover CF and 1B. Also important here is the fact that Atkins is in the hot seat. If the team fails again next year, he could be gone. Signing Bellinger may be a necessary evil.

    Yup, embarrassing play. And the fact that he tries to double down and play it off like he didn’t make a massive f***up. I f***ing hate when players try to tell the ump/dugout that they’re safe. “Acting” doesn’t do anything to sway anybody’s call on the play dipshits.

    I don’t really see a reason Bellinger would opt-out in his age 33 season. Doesn’t make sense. They wouldn’t go for it. More likely they do something shorter term and higher AAV, or something with a player opt-out after the 1st or 2nd year.
