  1. KK + eat just enough salary
  2. About 4 mil for 2.0 WAR and got a prospect back. All in all, a pretty good signing
  3. I was wrong. This seems to prove maybe Atkins isn’t in charge??
  4. They didn’t learn with KK, I don’t think they’ll move IKF
  5. Snell??? Hmm
  6. Erceg is sneaky good
  7. This is the 2nd major overpay of the deadline holy s***
  8. True. A better comp would be Stanton though. Signed a massive deal and got moved after a huge MVP season. That could happen with Vlad before he even turns 30.
  9. I’d be fine if Bo was traded and we filled the SS spot with an elite/above average glove. Go with good gloves up the middle (Varsho, Kirk, SS replacement) and get power bats for the corners (3B and LF)
  10. Eh. Not the worst. Even if they sign a couple big guys like Soto/Bregman/Burnes, and the 2025 continues to suck, they likely have enough pieces they can still offload in 2026 to help the farm a bit. Plus by 2026 Bassitt will be off the books, only 1 more year of Springer, etc. 2026 likely looks gross but I think they could be back to competitive by 2027/28 even if 2025 is a disaster
  11. Plus Melton should be ready next year and seems to be the better prospect. Loperfido for Kikuchi straight up would’ve made more sense
  12. Lol yeah the Astros subreddit is in absolute shambles over this trade. Usually means we did pretty well.
  13. Yeah idk, Fangraphs article from June has him as a 45 FV so I guess they just disagree on his potential.
  14. Really really hoping we move Bassitt as he seems like a prime candidate to fall off a cliff very soon.
  15. Kinda seems to have a similar profile as Daulton Varsho?? Even still, I would have been happy with Loperfido for Kikuchi straight up. Bloss looks to be a very solid piece too
  16. Yeah you can see it in the Texas game too, they’re all soaked through. These unis suck ass this year
  17. Vlad on an absolute tear jeez
  18. That’s an absolute fleece by Ross lol damn
  19. Not really a “whatever” season, sure his ERA is bloated but everything else looks good. xERA, FIP, K rate etc. all pretty respectable for a mid-rotation starter
  20. This is true but at some point we need to start relying on homegrown/low-cost starters. We’re paying 3 guys in the rotation 20 million each next season.
  21. You’re just plain wrong dude
  22. Thank you. Sick of these other guys pulling out strawman after strawman to defend their ******** stupid takes.
  23. Yeah exactly. IDK how you could not like this move for the Mariners, Turner instantly becomes one of their best hitters. It is always worth improving your roster at the deadline if you are in the hunt, even in seemingly minor ways. Someone like Turner could very easily go on a heater for 2 weeks during the playoffs as he has done before.
  24. Yeah fair, DeJong just had the worst stretch of his career for 3 weeks as a BJ. I think we would have all gladly taken what he’s doing this year, which is more what Atkins probably expected when he acquired him.
