    Let him be useless at 3B, at least he has an elite arm to help make up for it slightly. Opens up bringing in someone like Alonso

    He looked really good for through the first 2 months of the season, numbers took a nosedive starting in June. He’s been up and down. Kinda like Turner I guess. Though he undeniably has more power. Could see him finishing with a strong September to bring his numbers back up to something more respectable

    Lol, should’ve traded him at the deadline. If we end up trading Bassit for peanuts in the offseason then you know Atkins is a f***ing spineless weenie. Im very curious to see what happens with Bo too

    Its so moronic though. In fantasy defense literally doesn’t exist outside positional eligibility. Defense is almost half of the game, you can’t just handwave away 3-4 wins a player can add via defense. Well you can… but you’d be a moron.

    Teams smartened up and learned you basically never have to throw him a strike... he never adjusted.

    All of this is a completely fair assessment of what went wrong this year. Could argue the 20+ million given to KK & Turner should have been better-spent. But really the bullpen just completely imploding is something that is extremely hard to recover from.

    Would any of us really be shocked to see the front office triple down and sign a bunch of IKF/KK types again next offseason??? I would not be surprised if they didn’t bring in a big homerun hitter yet again.

    Yeah I honestly don't think Mattingly is doing anything to help our hitters. I don't think i've seen a single article that specifically mentions Mattingly helping someone fix their swing. If I had to guess, i'd say Mattingly has been part of the problem telling hitters to hit up the middle more. That old "use the big part of the field" dinosaur BS.

    Yeah that bit was interesting. Also the bit where he basically said he didn’t understand the Vlad hype until he started his tear this year. Interesting he seemed iffy in whether Vlad should play more 3rd vs load management and keeping him healthy
