    I honestly feel like the Berrios extension and him looking terrible the 1st year gave Shatkins a major scare and is a big reason they never extended Bo/Vlad. Berrios was about as consistent as they come, and he turned into a pumpkin almost immediately. He’s been up and down since. Vlad and Bo have not shown themselves to be consistent.

    We absolutely need an everyday OF or 3B. Preferably both, but 1 is a must. Roden as depth is a better option. If we don’t address either position its gonna be an ugly year of 2-1 and 3-2 losses again

    Im all for it IF the return for Bo is decent. If the offers for Bo suck I’d rather just ride him out.

    It seems like the Jays strategy for improving baserunning has just been to take major risks, all the time. Except most of our guys are slow, stupid, or both so it doesn’t work.

    Exactly. Unfortunately Bo and Vlad haven’t shown that they are cornerstone franchise players to build a team around. They are more Luis Robert than Fernando Tatis.

    We definitely wasted the Bo/Vlad era, but its not for lack of trying. The Os for whatever f***ing reason refuse to take the final step. They should be signing guys like Kikuchi, Snell, Burns, etc. Otherwise they’re just willfully wasting years with their core.

    How can you argue the Jays didn’t try to surround the core with respectable/all-star vets?? Ryu, Springer, Gausman, Kikuchi, Bassitt, and they were in/finalists for Cole, Ohtani, and Soto. Can’t force guys to take money if they don’t want to. The Jays just aren’t as good as drafting/developing as the current Os, and they never tanked like the Os did to get those top picks. The Jays “core” was never as good as the Os current core.

    Im so glad the Orioles are continuing to fumble taking the next step and wasting prime years of Gunnar/Rutsch. And instead of just signing free agents, they’re making trades like the Burnes trade which is going to slowly deplete the farm if they continue on. They’re like, 1 step away from being a legit super-team but they’re just refusing to sign any legit top-tier free agents to address the rotation.

    Its really not as bad, or any worse than other major cities in North America. Although yes the traffic is f***ing insane and something needs to be done.

    It will be great to finish 2nd on Tucker next year.

    Tucker has to be looking at closer to 500+ though no? Tucker is easily better than Vlad

    Yeah I think you’re right. They could also potentially be traded at the deadline if we’re out of it, lets just hope they’re both playing well and both healthy at that time.

    Seriously feels like the team is cursed at times. This stretch from 2020-2024 has been nut shot after nut shot. Im pretty certain im sterile.
