    Thats awesome lol. Yeah pretty much every time I go, i can hear chatter around me like people asking about basic rules, asking who x player is, where is Bautista, oh this pitcher only has 6 wins, etc. I try to remember that these are the people that make it a viable business, not just the hardcore fans like us.

    That’s not necessarily an unfair assessment. They’ve done nothing to show they are a serious competitor in the last 5 years. They make the playoffs sure, but they seem to roll over. Every. Damn. Time. Like of course its better than the alternative of NOT making the playoffs, but at the end of the day is it really any different for us fans if they get bounced in the first round vs if they didn’t make it at all?

    Its so hard to be optimistic, and try to defend this team to family/friends, and be disappointed every time. Just makes me look like an idiot.

    Have you seen us play against the Rays though? they are pests. f***ed us in 2021 by blowing that game vs the Yankees and i bet they will fk us again this weekend.

    Right this is probably the toughest game the Jays have in the remaining 5. And the one with the most stakes/most pressure to perform. Lets see how these boys handle it.

    Ooof yeah that would be disastrous using Gausman on Sunday and then having to play the WC anyways. Worst-case scenario lol.

    Yes. But if they end up tied after tonight, that means the Jays would have to match the Yankees wins for the remaining 4 games. if they go 3-1 or 4-0 we would have to match. Trouble IMO

    3-2 feels safe IMO. 2-3 still iffy. Anything less would be trouble.

    If Jays lose and Yankees win tonight, we are in the danger zone. Would mean the Jays would have to match the Yankees win total for the last 4 games. Really hoping we dont get worst-case scenario tonight.

    Thankfully we shouldn’t have any more pivotal calls like this that can change the course of a game, starting next season. Homeplate umps making calls based on players “showing them up” is an absolute joke.

    I believe he’s saying the most likely scenario is that the standing remain the same tomorrow, but that doesn’t really take into account that the Jays will be playing a much tougher matchup
