I'm not talking about my team last year. I said those are the 2013 wOBAs of my 4 best hitters this year. Use their career wOBAs if you like, there's no way Gallo/Sano/Russell/Harper's true talent levels will ever e as good as Miggy/Ortiz/Choo/Cano. They could peak in those ranges, if they're lucky.
The top 4 hitters on my team put up these wOBAs last year:
.455 wOBA
.400 wOBA
.393 wOBA
.384 wOBA
and that doesn't include Craig, Ellsbury, Carpenter, or Desmond.
I love Gio but he's a long way off. Singleton could be nice but he's way behind Russell for me. Meyer could be as good as Stephenson or Zimmer, but for some reason I'm not sold on him. Montero is probably a back-end type and no, I have no love for Delino. He's got a terrible attitude, no power, and he lost his chance to be a MIF.
I believe I pulled down Buxton, Giolito, Yordano, Gary Sanchez, and Marisnick in the 1st draft. Traded most of my picks for the 2nd draft but scored Sonny G in like the 4th rd.
I'm really pretty good at this.
So of all the stud arms I traded in FC this off-season, 3 have already had elbow MRIs (Bradley, Ventura, Syndergaard), one has had shoulder problems (Cingrani), one has been jerked around by an idiot org (Gausman), and one has had continued control problems (Sanchez). Jon Gray still looks like a stud, but the moral here is cash in your prospects (esp arms) before they blow up or the hype bubble bursts.
I'm actually surprised I've been above you so far, probably just strength of schedule. I think any of the top 4 teams could take the championship this year.
I traded Myers, Gausman, Yelich, Bradley, Syndergaard, Aaron Sanchez, Jon Gray, Yordano, Eaton, Alfaro, Lindor, Dahl, all my picks, Cingrani, Grandal, etc.
Had an unreal farm. Traded it for Cargo, Beltre, Ortiz, Choo, Holliday, McCann, Verlander, Iwakuma, Samardzija, Shields, Ervin, Kuroda, Nathan, Cishek. Only core guys I kept were Goldy, Carpenter and Fernandez.
