I would. Cargo went 26/21 with a .400 wOBA last year in only 110 games. The injuries are annoying but I'll give him a pass on 2014. Yelich will never be anywhere near that good IMO.

I gave up Yelich + Syndergaard + 1st (4) for him in FC in the offseason and got dick all to show for it. Still have a 6 GM lead on 1st place even without him, Goldy, and J Fern tho. WAT?

I'm going to toot my horn a little on Greg Bird. No one pays him much mind because he's a 1B prospect, but he's got pop and he walks a ton. I could see him quietly becoming a LaRochian bat for the Stankees. He's 21 and doing some damage in AA, and he's never had a wRC+ below 133 at any level. At the very least, it's safe to say he'll have a better career than Jesse Winker.

A fair trade at the time I'd say. Norris' stock has soared this year, but it could just as easily have fizzled out.

Chen is a serviceable back end guy with a nice K/BB. Nothing special really, but certainly better than anything floating in FA.

Where was this supposed ridicule for Matt Kemp? I seem to recall North making some absurd claims about Kemp being an elite talent, but I don't ever remember anyone saying Kemp was anything but a good (if injury-plagued) player.

Greg Oden arrested for beating his girlfriend. I'm still pretty convinced that Oden is actually in his late 30s.

Man, how many times has Odorizzi been traded now? I drafted him and sent him to Boxy in the Zimmerman deal. Everyone ripped on Boxy for that at the time, but Zimmerman has continued to be plagued by injuries and is already transitioning to LF.

I don't blame him for bailing on Austin Jackson, he's not an attractive asset in Safeco.

Even in that case, the team with the empty roster spot can grab a scrub off FA and send them off to complete the trade. If you need to clear expired NAs and DLs to do so, then that's the whole point. We should only be clicking Allow Trade and processing picks/prospects.

I had to move players through DL and NA spots to process this trade, which is really not ok now that I reflect on it. All MLB aspects of trades needs to be processed using the Yahoo trade interface going forward, with no exceptions. Commissioners are not here to give loopholes around roster management, this is not fair to other managers.
