Well, Kopitar is younger, a C, has more PPG, and plays for a much better team. There's a reason Kopitar is +85 over the last four seasons, he's a two-way superstar on a championship calibre team. If you draft a bunch of Kings, Bruins, and Penguins, odds are your +/- will be pretty damn good. It's not completely random by any means.

I was pretty adamant about us taking BGA with our 2nd pick, and I'm glad we did. All my fantasy hockey championship squads have had 2 very good goalies and another mediocre one for depth. Wheeler in the 1st is pretty much a dynasty nuking. You must be a serious Jets homer.

You can't blame a player personnel decision on the GM? Of course you can. Ownership approval applies to every major contract, it's still the GM who proposed it and signed it.

I really don't know what that's supposed to mean, kinda seems like you dodged the point entirely. On top of being an ignorant and futile GM, Jack Z has saddled the Mariners with what will soon be one of the worst contracts in baseball with absolutely nothing to show for it. Troll better.

It's a shame we didn't have faceoffs won and lost as categories. I feel like those are a lot more indicative of a player's skill than SH%, and they appropriately add value to Cs (and especially C/Ws).

So? It's still idiotic to project their WAR higher than consistent ace workhorses like the afformentioned (and Wainright, etc).

It's completely idiotic to project Stroman and Carrasco ahead of the likes of Bumgarner, Greinke, and Hamels.

I quite agree with BTS. Competitive teams can't make space for non-elite relievers before the cut off, and will deal them for mid-round picks. Those same relievers will be worth high 2nd rounders once the season starts. It's easy profit if you have roster space to spare.
