    Bob Klapisch of the New York Times hears that Domingo German allegedly slapped his girlfriend during an argument late Monday night. Klapisch further states that the incident happened "in a public setting" and was "witnessed by an official from the Commissioner’s Office." German has been placed on administrative leave as Major League Baseball's Department of Investigations looks into the matter. No police report has been filed, but the right-hander could very well be facing a lengthy suspension, one that might rule him out for the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs.
