  1. I called Maeda to the Dodgers like a month ago. 8)
  2. I would wager that Fausto Carbonara never throws a pitch for the Blue Jays this regular season.
  3. Struck out Ichiro, Jeter, and Ortiz in order while throwing all heaters.
  4. Loup is a LOOGY, I'm not sure why we're even discussing him as a central piece of our bellpen.
  5. Holy f***, that was 10 years ago.
  6. I remember that one All-Star Game where Brad Penny came out firing rockets, and it looked like he was going to be the next big ace in baseball. That didn't happen.
  7. Considering they've both been in and out of the majors for years now, no.
  8. Not really. Cecil and Osuna are good, the other two probably suck. Locking Osuna into the bullpen is also a very depressing prospect.
  9. God the bullpen is such a hot mess right now. I'll be interested to see how Shapiro can turn this around.
  10. Did she make him discharge a firearm repeatedly? Kinda seems like he could easily have walked away from the situation, but instead chose to escalate the violence and put lives in jeopardy.
  11. Yes you can. Also, I hope you realize our incumbent #3 hitter has the highest BB rate on the team. I also hope you realize that the 3-hole is actually not where you should slot your best hitter, but I somehow doubt you do.
  12. I've never seen 10 lb plates that big in my life. They may be too narrow to be 45 lbs, but they sure as s*** aren't 10 lbs either.
  13. If he's exactly as good as he was this year, I doubt he'll opt out. He got a 3 year deal with no draft pick attached, that won't happen if he is QO'ed by the Dodgers next offseason.
  14. Since when does the best front office in baseball give 3 year deals to sucky players?
  15. He'll be another year older and have a comp pick attached to him. It's possible, but I doubt it.
  16. Kazmir would have to have a monster year to consider using that opt-out, though. There's not much of a chance he'll beat this AAV next year.
  17. Did you only own him for the last 2 months of the season? Because that was a super ugly stretch for him.
  18. Well, his medicals clearly checked out, which is a major plus for Kazmir. The smarted FO in baseball is committing $15M+ in AAV to him, so that makes me feel pretty good about his chances of performing well through the deal... plus the NL West is the best division in baseball for pitchers.
  19. Kazmir gettin' PAID! As a 2x owner, this pleases me greatly.
  20. LOL! Alright, that's pretty good.
  21. I would even go as far as stripping him of his title and passing it to the runner-up.
  22. Another possibility is that, at ~35 owners now, we've exhausted the list of interested parties who visit this board. I think in general, people aren't nuts about inheriting a team anyway, especially in such a deep league. People want to draft their own teams, unless the league is so awesome that they're dying to get in by any means.
  23. It is kinda funny that LOD couldn't even make it through the initial draft without losing a manager. Meanwhile, DDL is
