  1. So it's okay for Will Ferrell but not ok for Poo-eeg. Racism at its finest.
  2. I don't really agree with that. He has a career .374 wOBA over 1300 PAs thru age 25. You would gladly take that from any hitting prospect if you could. Last year was a disaster according to most people, and he was still an above average hitter who put up 1.5 WAR in half a season. The level of hatred for him is disproportionate to his talent.
  3. Cyborg thinks Puig will wash out of pro ball this year so I'm guessing he loooooves this deal for Boxy.
  4. Y'all is dumn. Numbers don't inherently exist, they're merely figments of human invention.
  5. I don't think there is a clear second, myself included.
  6. I have been trying hard to buy shares of Reed in all formats with zero luck. I'm really infatuated with his fat bat.
  7. I think silvergun is the clear-cut #1 and after that there are maybe 4 or 5 teams vying for 2nd place. NJH has a great team, as usj.
  8. SP depth is kinda overrated in 20 team leagues. Arrieta/Waino/Kuma/Liriano/Fiers is a plenty good enough Top 5 to get the job done. You can find back end depth fairly cheaply as the season goes on, and get lucky hits on waiver adds. I mean, you probably got Hendricks and Raisel for free to begin with.
  9. I'm guessing probably cause he was Top 50 on every list.
  10. He's not like those guys at all. He's not going to steal 40 bases in the majors or ISO .200. Read a scouting report once in awhile.
  11. I didn't mean to imply that your love for Hendricks is illogical, just that it's well known at this point and can thus be used against you. I disagree with you on his upside but I wouldn't claim he's a bad pitcher.
  12. So in other words: "You were absolutely right, Dinger. Great deductive logic."
  13. Yelich is a better pure hitter IMO but not a bad comp.
  14. Zimmer has broad skills. I think he'll be like Alex Gordon, good OBP and contributes across all cats.
  15. Wise idea by NJH to try to sell high on Hendricks/Raisel's hype and buy low on Puig. Couldn't pull it off, but NJH has a knack for striking at the right time.
  16. I have deduced your offer to be Raisel, Hendricks, and either Manaea or Kopech -- obviously taking advantage of Boxy's known love for Hendricks. Strong offer, I still prefer Reed though.
  17. I'm down on Turner cause he has no power. Jimmy Rollins had power. If anybody is the next J-Roll, it's Crawford.
  18. Good luck stealing all those bases when you get the bat knocked out of your hands every AB. He blows.
  19. Wise decision. Zimmer and Reed are each better than anybody on NJH's farm. Turner is going to suxxxxx. Like a lot.
  20. They're kinda similar, both power fastball/slider guys without third pitches. Martes has better command tho.
  21. I concur, we need more numerically-inclined schizos around here.
  22. How's this for idiotic? I've been lining up for days in the FC Waiver draft with Martes as my primary target, and yet it never even occurred to me to see if he was owned here. For some reason I was convinced that North already owned him as a prospect. Needless to say, nice add. North is really slipping.
