    I was going to take him if he fell to me there, so I don't fault the logic. His ratios were too zesty to ignore and he seemed primed to run away with a closer gig. I'm glad you took the bullet and not me.

    David Robertson is a stud. Possibly the most underrated closer aside from Cody Allen.

    I pretty much agree with Boxy, there's so much wrong with that list it's not even worth nitpicking.

    Mazara ahead of Braun, Carrasco and Brantley lol. I love Mazara as much as anyone but that's just silly.

    I guess if I squinted I could sort of see this from a dynasty perspective (ie 3-5 year outlook). But for this year? I think I'll be struggling to make the playoffs. They have Mazara obscenely high considering he hasn't debuted.

    Carter Capps officially going under the knife. --- Carter Capps will undergo Tommy John surgery on Tuesday. Capps underwent an MRI last Tuesday after feeling discomfort in his right elbow. He subsequently visited Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola. No good news came of that meeting, clearly. The 25-year-old right-hander will miss the whole of the 2016 campaign. While the team's hoping that he'll be ready for Opening Day, 2017, that's a long ways off and it should be considered a soft projection and nothing more at this point. The elbow injury's a tough blow for player and team, as Capps was a potential ninth-inning arm. In 31 innings last season, he held a stellar 1.16 ERA and 58/7 K/BB ratio. With him out of the picture, A.J. Ramos should be considered more/less locked in as closer.

    Probably Trumbo at 1B and Davis in the OF, assuming Trumbo and Alvarez are actually hitting.

    Better defensive profile, obviously, plus speed. I vastly prefer Mazara's bat.

    Hits in this league are what Ks are to pitchers. If you could get an SP to give you 180 K, you'd probably take a chance on him even if the K/BB wasn't sexy.

    He got on base at a good clip in the minors, I think he can give you a .340 OBP with an ISO near .100. He will hurt your SLG a bit but he won't massacre it a la Billy Hamilton. Hits are a very overlooked category in this league, IMO. He can probably put up like 170 at least, just slapping singles and bunts around.

    I think it behooves Sanchez to fatten up. Now when it's August and his teenager metabolism is eating his body from the inside, it will eat the fat before the muscle.

    Disagree. He's fringe, but he's a keeper. Solid OBP, 40+ SB in a full season. He'll be their leadoff hitter which probably makes him a safe bet for 80-90 R, plus this is a H format and he's a great slapper. He's like a slightly better Ben Revere. I would acquire him if I needed another no-power CF speedster, but I already have 2.

    You kinda have to be if you sign them when they're 16 and you don't want to lose them in the Rule 5. They've really hit on some studs, though.
