  1. No idea, can't have been that high. I've used several this year.
  2. I hadn't paid any attention to him, but I guess 18 HR in 87 games is pretty good for a dude with triple IF eligibility. The Cardinals turned a dud into something useful, shocking.
  3. Why was he dropped? He's having a pretty damn good fantasy season and he's raking of late. Kinda reminds me of Ty Wigginton.
  4. It's probably very close, but I personally wouldn't trade Duffy for Archer right now. They are close in many regards, but Duffy currently has the edge in: age, velo, SwStr%, K/BB, ERA by a wide margin, FIP by a good margin, WHIP, OPP avg, HR rate, WAR, WAR/IP, among others. Archer has a slight edge in Ks, GB rate (not necessarily a good thing) and xFIP (with xFIP doing some serious regression to his HR/FB rate). They have identical career ERAs, but Duffy is having a much better season this year, which is what matters the most. Any argument for Archer is largely based on 2015. If you've watched Duffy pitch, there's nothing bogus about his game. He has serious heat, he's a lefty, he has a killer changeup, and he's drastically improved his command. He has everything you want to see in a legit breakout. If you just posted his numbers without a name attached, you'd probably guess they belonged to Chris Sale, except he's actually been better than Sale across the board. And Sale, like Archer and Duffy, is also 27. Duffy also has the least mileage on his arm of the three, FWIW.
  5. I mean, it's not like it was a perfect season, tho.
  6. f***, that must have been scary. If it came through your windshield you probably would have been decapped.
  7. Oh no! 1st place KingFiller just lost Choo for the season. That's a damn shame.
  8. Good thing it's not, then. Most of us enjoy watching a winning team.
  9. Yep. He won't get $18M AAV over multiple years, plus he seems to really like playing here.
  10. Can anyone put an end to silvergun's undefeated season? No.
  11. Biceps strain, day to day.
  12. I was agreeing with you and expanding on your point. Quotefail.
  13. Lol @ loyalty. Overtures were made in the offseason, perhaps even offers. Jose rebuffed us, not the other way around. He's had a disaster season and it backfired in his face; them's the breaks. I'd love to have him back for 2-3 years at reasonable market value, but you don't overpay for a player of his age with atrocious defense and a (probably) declining bat.
  14. I don't see him getting that much, nor would I give that to him. I'd be good with something like 4 years/$70M, beyond that, I don't see the value.
  15. That was like 3 years ago, he's DHed almost half his games this season.
  16. Paying thousands of dollars up front for games that may or may not (and in fact, did not) happen was pretty stressful and annoying. I'm a Flex Pack holder, so I guess I'll be frozen out of the pre-market playoff tickets this year, but I really don't mind. I'd rather just buy a game or two on Stubhub, it's way less micromanagement on my part, not to mention up-front cash.
  17. At this point I'd almost prefer to just take the QO draft pick for Bautista and pursue Beltran instead. There would be no draft pick attached to him since he was traded midseason, and he'll be much cheaper while likely providing similar offense and having no qualms with DHing.
  18. Ugh I was really hoping to land either Betts or Arenado in the 1st round and got punked on both. Arenado went one spot ahead of me too.
  19. You guys legit had me scared yesterday, what a f***ing unreal day your offense had.
  20. I'm just doing some WWE style trash talking before our blood feud showdown next week for the division title.
  21. No, it's unjustified because you took Byron Buxton even earlier. Beating you in 4 different deep leagues is just funny for me on a personal level.
