  1. Wowwy. Santana turned in a fantastic year, but I'd be very scared to trade Trea Turner right now. Edit: nvm that's Justin Turner. Carry on.
  2. How so? I thought he made a fair point. He was personally against it, but the Cleveland fanbase was overwhelmingly in favour of Chief Wahoo. He couldn't just outright remove it unilaterally, so he brought the block C logo into use as an alternative. I'm not sure what else he really could have done without infuriating a fanbase that already has very poor attendance (no offense).
  3. That seems like the best possible lineup under the circumstances.
  4. Bautista leading off. Good boy, Gibby.
  5. Ten stitches in one pinky finger is a hell of a lot. He must have gashed it along it's whole length. You can pretty much rule out the changeup for tonight.
  6. A win tonight changes the complexion of the series, for sure. A loss tonight and it's really pretty much over.
  7. Yeah it's really pretty simple, we need to score off the starters. If we leave it til the 7th inning to try to get a lead, we are straight up f***ed. The best you can do is tread water for a couple innings until Miller is out of the game. There's no reason the Jays shouldn't be able to tee off on Tomlin, Bauer, and Clevenger.
  8. I'm not sure how you are supposed to adjust to hit one of the best pitches in baseball. Miller's slider is completely ridiculous. Even if you sit on it, good luck. We are witnessing an extremely elite pitcher at the very zenith of his ability. At this rate Miller would be the obvious ALCS MVP.
  9. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/andrew-miller-on-a-possible-return-to-the-rotation-that-ship-has-kind-of-sailed/
  10. It was a really nice park, I thought. The food was good and the fans were loud. It was about 30% Jays fans in attendance but the Cleveland fans never let us take over the game like in Seattle.
  11. He had terrible control back then.
  12. The Jays best hitters have been sitting on fastballs for years. Even Cody Allen when he came in on Saturday was throwing slider after slider. Our big 3 just aren't seeing many fastballs to attack right now. Kudos to Cleveland for good gameplanning.
  13. You could say Francona is abusing him right now, but I'm also pretty sure Andrew Miller is marching into Francona's office before every game and saying "you better f***ing pitch me at least 2 innings today." He's just on a goddamn mission. Meh, he's got all offseason to rest.
  14. I'm not even mad, he's just so f***ing absurdly good. And it sure looks like they're going to use him for 2 innings a game, come hell or high water.
  15. Got back from Cleveland around 8 pm last night, holy mother of god what a dumpster fire that city is. Also, Andrew Miller is a god. Completely unhittable.
  16. Thread title should read "GDT Game 3 - Blue Jays vs. Andrew Miller" Mods if you could fix thx
  17. It really is senseless to continue batting Martin ahead of Tulo.
  18. After dealing with so many trashy Orioles and Rangers fans, it's nice to see a respectable fanbase come around for a chat. Personally I kinda like Cleveland as a team. Obviously I want the Jays to win, but if we have to lose to a team, I wouldn't mind losing to Cleveland (as much). That said, I'm making the road trip to Cleveland tomorrow and we'll be painting that stadium blue if I have anything to say about it!
  19. Not really surprising, the Jays have beef with about 12 different umps.
  20. Who the f*** is wittgren?
  21. Are you seriously arguing that the Giants were the better team? The Cubs are the best team of the last decade.
  22. Yeah, not being able to pinch hit for Barney is pretty bad.
  23. The name is totally racist, but I have to say, every indigenous person I've ever met calls themselves an indian.
  24. Yeah, the Giants have 5% which would be distributed among the NLCS teams, probably mostly the Cubs. If the Cubs played the Jays in the WS, the Cubs would probably be something like 55/45 favs.
