    I kinda look at that deal now as Sano + Yelich for Sale + Frazier, with Pomeranz and Estrada canceling each other out. It's a write-off!

    I've made some really terrible trades in this league. Here are three that stand out: Gave up Roberto Osuna+ for A.J. Reed Gave up Yelich + Sano for McCutchen, Todd Frazier, Pomeranz Gave up DJLM + a s***** closer for Dee Gordon when he was suspended

    I've never been the high guy on Torres, I considered him the 3rd piece in the deal. I'm very high on Dahl and Devers and I'm just hoping the prospect guys are right about Torres.

    I never quite understood the hype on that one. His bat always seemed oversold to me, he never had standout power or speed.

    I thought his list was one of the better ones... although he waited til the end to release it, and therefore had the benefit of reading every other list and the backlash for each.

    If Asdrubal consistently had 120 wRC+s throughout his prime then he would have been a pretty studly shortstop. As far as Gleyber's ceiling, I think he'll hit for a bit more average and walk more than Asdrubal has, but as comp it's not terrible.

Seems like he is still not ready for the majors until he can throw a good change up and improve his control.     It's kinda funny how velo for pitchers in Spring Training is pretty widely accepted as an important precursor and yet since we don't have access to ST exit velo, it's assumed we can glean nothing from hitter performance. All we're doing is looking at the early performance of a hitter who showed elite exit velo last year and has the tools to be a fantasy relevant. Nobody is pumping up a one-dimensional AAAA DH, we're actually talking about a player who is locked into a starting role for the first time and has been talked about substantially by the analytics community this offseason.
