  1. Ok I totally understand you not giving me the benefit of the doubt, but in non-DDL leagues, yes. I kept Mazara in BORED, I kept Jose Fernandez in FC. I intended to keep Contreras in DDL but I couldn't resist acquiring Andrew Miller. I do tend to keep the ones I view as elite unless an opportunity to acquire an elite MLBer arises. I don't always intend to trade these guys, it's just that I have a serious addiction to trading and a predilection for mortgaging the future for the present. I think each team I manage is within a certain paradigm of contention and I don't manage all my teams the same way. If I own an elite contender, chances are I'm going to try to keep augmenting the core to stay as good as possible throughout the prime of my elite core players. I don't have a problem tearing a team down and rebuilding completely, it just hasn't happened yet in DDL.
  2. You've learned well, good buddy. Except, in the case of Hoskins, there aren't many scouts who believe, so maybe just stick to flaunting his ISO and pointing out how he's still hitting even though he's out of the Reading bandbox.
  3. I'm out of that game! I have 3 elite hitting prospects and I intend to keep them all. Guerrero, Devers and Torres are all mashing to start the season and at this point I'd probably consider them all untouchable. Take notes.
  4. Miguel Cabrera fawkin SAAAAWWWWWWWuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuxxxxxxx
  5. I traded him to you for Frankie Montas a year or two ago, then last season I traded Kole Calhoun to you for Gattis. Then this offseason I traded him again, this time to NJH for Ryon Healy.
  6. That reminds me, I really ought to re-acquire Gattis (again).
  7. First time a straight dude ever said this about me.
  8. Yeah, you pretty much just had a perfect season.
  9. Silvergun you now need to average 10 wins per week to break my all time single season wins record. Trading for Brian McCann would be a good place to start.
  10. Good thing silvergun isn't shopping Eddy Volquez, he'd be asking for a mid-round 1st.
  11. His core bats should be good for a long time, no need to rush it. He can afford to let things coalesce.
  12. Rebuilding in the first month of the season? Lol who am I, boxy? No seriously tho, boxy get at me, you have the kinda prospects I'm looking for.
  13. I would probably re-do that trade. It's still fair.
  14. Dead last, baby! Auction deadlines: Miggy - May 1 Miller - May 15 Bautista - Whenever he starts hitting again
  15. Weird... Evan Gattis has 5 walks already.
  16. A 1st does seem a bit steep to me, but it should be an effective deterrent going forward.
  17. Do I get that pick back then?
  18. Probably should lose a draft pick for that. Amateur hour.
  19. lol I'm going to get such a haul for Vladdy
  20. Ugh... when your franchise hitter is playing at Coors but gets a routine day off. :'(
  21. Ok first question (this is a multi-parter): What were you feeling during the following 3 all-time Barry disses? 1) Snubbed by EE for an interview after a walk-off HR. 2) Josh Donaldson: "We like our team, Barry." 3) Danny Valencia: "It's called a weight room, Barry; I'll have to show you some time." Second question: I was told by an anonymous source that Barry Davis swears like a sailor when off-camera. True or false?
  22. Was Lance Lynn always fat? He's got a real keg on him.
