  1. Need advice... BTS, I should definitely start Gsellman tonight vs the Yankees, correct?
  2. Travis Snider, but let's not talk about that.
  3. Tulo wasn't even in this trade until the backlash hit.
  4. Everybody has their more frequent trade partners, but I know for a fact that a lot of people in this league don't even bother trying to trade with Gibbers because it goes nowhere. Meanwhile you seem to have a direct line. The fact that you two know each other personally and have played in numerous leagues together over the years isn't helping the perception that he prefers to give you sweetheart deals for seemingly no personal benefit.
  5. Nah, the league is going to be just fine.
  6. Part of the problem is Gibbers constant absenteeism. If you don't have time for a league, you shouldn't be in it. People send him trade offers that he ignores for weeks or months, then suddenly you pull off trades with him on players that were never ever trade blocked. I don't see collusion per se, but what I do see is favourtism, a willingness to take a subpar return as a favour to a friend you know in person, absenteeism, an excess of NA players for an extended period of team, a complete unwillingness to ever field a competitive team over a multi-year period, and generally a s***** attitude. If you are going to have a crappy rebuilding team, be present, make moves, build towards something. He has not done any of those things, and the rope has been long. I don't want to hear "oh sorry I was away from email for two weeks." This is 2017, we all have mobile apps, we all have smartphones, we all have email at our fingertips most of the day. If you can't fulfill basic communication requirements, this league isn't for you. It's time we hand this team over to an owner who actually intends on winning some day, and who actually responds to messages in a reasonable period of time.
  7. You should probably wait for another commissioner to approve your trade on this one.
  8. His other problem is that peaking at 90 MPH, he didn't have any velocity to lose.
  9. Sorry are we talking about FC, where silvio is like 6 time champion and 3 time runner-up?
  10. I'll take the elite slugger for the next 5 years and worry about after that... after that.
  11. Absolutely not. Unless they eat significant dollars, they won't get any elite prospects for him. Even then, you just don't trade a top 5 hitting prospect unless you're getting an amazing player on a sweet contract.
  12. They would probably eat some money in order to get actual prospects. If we could get that deal down to like 10/$250, I'd be interested. $25M AAV won't seem very exorbitant by the time he is 35, due to inflation.
  13. Actually we are an ideal team to absorb (most of) that contract. We don't have a lot of salary on the books after 2018 and he's still in his prime. God, he could blast 60 HR at Rogers Centre. Our FO has shown a willingness to use money rather than prospect capital. Fap. Flex that financial muscle, Shatkins!
  14. BTS I'd really appreciate it if you'd roll over and let me curb stomp you. Think of your draft pick!
  15. One oppo over the Monster and one curveball that he pulled. It's the all field power that really turns my crank. He's got Miggy power, a lot of his dongs go center-oppo. His trajectory this year is astonishing, I think there's every indication he's going to be an elite hitter.
  16. Sweet, elite DL stint coming up.
  17. f***ing son of a BITCH. 18. I'm sure he'll be traded to silvio for a 2nd round pick any day now.
  19. Honeywell has far better command and a much deeper arsenal. IMO Honeywell is an ace, while Glasnow is likely a reliever. I absolutely love everything about Honeywell's profile. I'm all in on Honey, trying to buy him up everywhere. Literally the only thing Glasnow has on Honeywell is a couple ticks on the heater, the offspeed stuff can't hold a candle to BH.
  20. That's even dumber than the time he wouldn't trade Joey Gallo for Chris Sale.
  21. I can't stress how insane it is that a 20 year old lefty just took Chapman yard. That's a monster.
