If you want to make a new rule, the rule should institute a trade moratorium, because no such rule exists. This is my offseason. We'll have to vote on it, though.

Yep. All those juicy keepers on the waiver wire I've been ignoring for weeks to hold onto this trash, but NOW it's go-time.

... and every non-playoff team already has trash they can cut to pick up an interesting keeper. If anything they will get to those players before the playoff teams do, because the playoff teams are clinging to certain borderline players.

Nobody was dropped in these trades that wasn't already cuttable. Better players will absolutely be cut later this week when playoff teams are facing elimination and need to make desperation moves.

Jaysblue will it make you happy if I promise to just not pick anyone up? If that can shut down this conversation, we can freeze my adds right now, since I'm the one with MLB openings created in these trades. Maybe then we can discuss the content of these actually-interesting trades.
