1. I feel like it's usually been around March 1, historically.
 2. Yahoo Baseball opened on Jan 26, 2017 just FYI.
 3. Stopped reading here.
 4. That team is hot. I kinda want to take it and dunk on BBDL for a season before leaving.
 5. NJH is like a 6, I wouldn't bang him with your dick.
 6. I've always hated how prospect sites consider Japanese imports prospects on these lists -- they've already played at the highest level of their respective leagues, they signed free agent contracts, they're usually in their late 20s (Ohtani excepted), and most of them will never spend a day in the minors. They aren't prospects.
 7. I would have had 2, 3, 4, 5 on Law's list if I hadn't traded Tatis. Prospects!
 8. Wow, de Leon's stock has really fallen.
 9. That actually fills me with rage. I wish we could customize position eligibility so that it's strictly 5 games started, and not 5 games started or 10 appearances. A one play shift shouldn't count as an appearance. FFS.
 10. You got any Vlad shares?
 11. OMG Travis Snider isn't even 30 yet. Christ do I feel old.
 12. Having lived through the Travis Snider Era, I'm just going to wait til they do it in the majors before I get too excited. In retrospect, Snider's K:BB even as a top prospect were... wanting. We should have known better, but it was a different time.
 13. I kinda think an 80 hit on Vlad is too much. That's basically what like a .320 hitter throughout his prime? The discipline and walk rate should be elite, but I feel like he's not that calibre of pure hitter. Would love to be wrong, obviously. In my mind I'd project him as more along the lines of 60 hit 70-80 power with 80 plate discipline (if we graded that, which we probably should).
 14. Jo Adell's grades seem aggressive
 15. For some reason I am suddenly very angry at Sean Manaea.
 16. For some reason I actually don't like any of Atlanta's pitching prospects. Trade me Buehler, dick.
 17. I'm willing to make a regrettably short-sighted need trade where I move him for a good pitching prospect. Shame you just don't have any in the range that interests me for him.
 18. The man you dubbed Dominican Bryce Harper?
 19. gtfo. I don't even want Gohara, he's sloppy-fat.
 20. You should trade me one for Juan Soto before he breaks out and becomes untouchable. And yeah, way too low on Luis.
 21. I would not trade Vlad-Devers-Torres-Robles for that whole farm. Depth is nice tho.
 22. And TBH, 4 WAR per season for Yelich could be a conservative projection. Surplus value on that contract could be something like $150-200M in actuality. Crazy valuable.
 23.

Prospect Grade Value (Hitters)

75 $175M

70 $107M

65 $70M

60 $60M

https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/valuing-the-2017-top-100-prospects/ So Bo's value is probably something on the order of $60-107M. Yelich's Value

Year Salary Age pWAR pValue Surplus value

2018 $7,000,000 26 4 $36,000,000 $29,000,000

2019 $9,800,000 27 4 $38,000,000 $28,200,000

2020 $12,500,000 28 4 $40,000,000 $27,500,000

2021 $14,000,000 29 4 $42,000,000 $28,000,000

2022 $15,000,000 30 4 $44,000,000 $29,000,000

$58,300,000 20 $200,000,000 $141,700,000

So basically unless you think Bo is going to be a 75 OFP guy, you should be willing to move him for Yelich. Even if you think Bo is a 70, which is probably generous, you should be willing to do Bo+.
 24. It was 1, 2, 3 on MLB.com before Ohtani showed up.
