  1. Hmmmmm, only 2,056 Yankees fans at the game? I would add TV viewership (hundred of thousands) also lost it with that shot. It was a crucial series locked at 1-all, the Jays were getting runners on with 2 outs often, the fans were tightly wound-up with hope (another 2 out scenario)... and anticipation (will it happen this time)... and then the loud crack was heard as the bat smashed the ball... breaths held for a couple of seconds as their eyes tracked the path of the balls which was then followed by an explosive roar of jubilation from the fans as the ball careened into the stands. That feeling of joy still lingers today - long, long after the moment has passed. It's like a nice blend of surreal madness.
  2. There is a lot of passion, determination, support for one another, bonding/friendships and plain old good chemistry going on in that clubhouse at the moment. It is truly amazing to see this in a bunch of players. The old and the young working together towards a common goal with an intensity I haven't seen in the Jays clubhouse for a long time. It's captivating... It's intense... It's magical is so many different ways. Just loving it!
  3. Jays defense is looking good tonight - makes a huge difference.
  4. Ahhhhhhh, don't be so coy. We are an understanding group of fans here. You can say you just need to go and wipe.
  5. The same can be said about the Jays. They are getting on so its just a matter of time before someone knocks in the runs.
  6. That is asking for a lot however I agree. The whining is putting a damper, at least in the GDTs, on what should be a great time to sit back and watch exciting baseball.
  7. ... and when taken in the posters' context it simply means "I like your style"
  8. It is a myth to believe that a pitcher can have 100% command in every game he plays. Even the best pitchers miss sometimes so give him a little slack. I know we want to win this game but nitpicking every error is just tedious to see.
  9. Pitching pretty good as far as aI can see. Why? What do you think he is doing?
  10. Didn't like the outcome of that play but Ellsbury sure covered that ground quickly.
  11. Nice to see Ellsury gone in 4 pitches.
  12. Every game from here on-wards will be huge more-so when a loss is encountered. I am hoping they will win all their games but that is not realistic which makes every game after a loss an even more important, must win game. From here to the end it will be a nail-biting, breath-holding, sitting on the edge of the chair experience. Something the Jays fans, the city, and the country too, have been waiting on for a long time. The light at the end of the tunnel seems so very bright - meaningful baseball at long last.
  13. I believe it's his deceased grand-parents who he sees sitting on a cloud up there. "I'm looking at my grandparents," said Swisher.
  14. Really??? Almost everything I see/hear stuff like this from a fan I feel that is the lowest a fan can possibly go... and then I am surprised... another moronic fan pipes up to show how utterly obnoxious and clueless a fickle fan-base can be. Congrats, you are in the running for 1st place in the "Most Stupid Fan Comment" category.
  15. He just went on the IL - Way to negative to put up with. I also have my eye on another so soon he will have a playmate.
  16. Not true. Only those wHo have the OP on their IL will not see it on the main page.
  17. I still think Donaldson was at fault. The ball reached in time however Donaldson tried to swipe tag the runner before securing the ball in his glove - Just my take on it.
  18. The mods were slow to act on this. Anyone could see the s***-show for what it was. It is hard to imagine the Jays doing this well yet a few pathetic posters found it much more exhilarating to make an issue of who should be starting a GDT. This is really disappointing.
  19. I have often wondered why some are so hung up on players' appearances as well (fat/ugly etc) cuz all I am concerned with is how they produce/play on the field. One has already said it was just a nickname but so be it. In my eyes it is making fun at that person's expense yet they play their hearts out. It most probably has more to do with a lack of their own self-esteem or simply an immature individual trying to fit in that particular circle or trying to be funny. Just my take on it.
  20. What's wrong with Jays fans... What's with all the insults and ridicule aimed at Navarro? He is the Jays backup catcher and he is doing alright. It even seems as if he is picking up pointers from Martin as he seems to be framing and throwing better. Please stop with the insults about his weight and cheer for a change. He is doing his part just as everyone one else is doing now and the Jays are winning for a change. Can't you just be happy for the guy? By the way, this is not directed solely at you - there are pother morons here who seemed to think they will fit in by continuing with this nonsense. He is a Jay and a member of the team - show him some respect please.
  21. lol. I can empathize with this only too well.
  22. I am finally able to see a ball hit into LF and not have to hyperventilate so please no Colabello/Carrera. Revere's bat is not needed at the moment and poor LFers will most probably cause lost games.
  23. I don't think that's the only reason. Rios on many occasions played like his head was not in the game. At times it even looked like he was just content to collect this salary while not giving 100% effort on the field.
