  1. Even if the employee is incompetent? I believe in the "Fair play" concept and to a degree I can tolerate human error however what I have seen recently surpasses this. In my opinion, and I am not saying I am right, umpires mistakenly believe they are the main players on the field. Their egos are huge and they are not willing to collaborate with other umpires in order to get a call right which is why they are there in the first place. Even if the electronic strike zone seen on TV does not line up with their own zone it befuddles me to see balls falling into the same area yet different calls are made to the two teams. I can handle consistency cuz different umpires have their own concept of where the strike zone should be however that was not the case recently. The systems needs to be overhauled cuz bad calls can break a team's momentum.
  2. The same strike zone was not given to both team from what I was seeing.
  3. Those walks are a product of the bad calls. I don't usually question bad calls if it is consistent to both sides however tonight it just wasn't the case.
  4. The ump in this game actually went and looked at the replay and still made the wrong call - How is that even possible? http://www.sportsonearth.com/article/47052936/
  5. If that is their mentality do you really ant to have a debate with them at all? I wouldn't, I would just move on.
  6. Looks good but I would drop the venue and stadium seating since there is already a lot going on in there and it really does not add much more interesting info.
  7. Thanks for the clarification. Sometimes I may miss a day or two so when I do come back I am definitely not going to wade through a mountain of posts to see if someone responded to or asked for clarification on a point I made. With that particular feature all I had to do was to click on it and only those posts, where someone did respond, would appear.
  8. I was aware of those options however it did not convey the same idea unless "Hot Thread With Unread Posts" is equivalent to "Unread To Me". Is it? By the way, did you ever use the "Unread To Me" feature on the other board?
  9. You can disable seeing signatures and avatars for a cleaner look - Go to "Settings", "General Settings", scroll down to the "Thread Display Options" section and remove the check-marks in the "Visible Post Elements". Hope that helps.
  10. The old board had an "Unread To Me" option which I have not been able to find here as yet. To me, this was a great feature cuz I did not participate in all the threads and neither did I keep track of the ones I posted in so it was a really simple yet effective way to follow-up on such activity. Can this feature be made available here? Thanks.
  11. He suks only if he is playing for the Jays. Go Escobar Go!!!
  12. You already have someone on your IL?
  13. Not sure if this is any better - On the extreme right of the "Chat" box there is an arrow-head. Click on it to collapse the box.
  14. Not sure if you got an answer for this as yet. At the very top if the page click on "Settings", then on the left hand pane click on "General settings", then scroll down to "Thread Display Options", then remove what you do not want from displayed under "Visible Post Elements".
  15. Yes, I do. It's similar to other sayings "You reap what you sow" or "you live by the sword, you die by the sword"
  16. The Karma shift is taking place - Seems things are falling in place now for the Jays.
  17. The pen has been used heavily so as long as Morrow is not in trouble he most probably will let him pitch.
  18. Nice play and short inning too - just what Morrow and the team needed.
  19. That could be playing a part in this however they are not swinging for the fences and they are tracking the ball all the way in - Not swinging at pitches outside the zone either.
  20. Jays approach today is so different. A lot more patient too.
  21. Davis is looking better in the field than Cabrera. Just realized I haven't seen a "Lo Viste" as yet. Did I miss it?
  22. That's what I also saw otherwise I believe Arencibia would have gone to 2B.
