  1. I feel like Hancock is being underrated for stupid reasons, so, with the caveat that I don't know anything and will be ambivalent towards whoever they go with, Gonzales and Hancock seem like the clear cut two best choices at 5.
  2. "full competition"
  3. My preference is whoever the Jays end up picking because I don't know how good any of these guys will be in the majors, assuming they get there.
  4. Thanks, I didn't pick up on that
  5. It wasn't obvious to me. Maybe I have to wear beer goggles to see it.
  6. It will be available to stream on MLB.com.
  7. Wow, 7 unanswered posts in a row. Good work!
  8. I didn't say anything about Veen, retard. I was just saying that comparing him to McKinney just because they have similar swings is stupid because McKinney lacks in those other areas. Holy f***, clock yourself in the head with a beer stein, maybe it will knock your brain back in place.
  9. Well, the whole appeal of McKinney out of the draft was his swing. Swing isn't everything, though. If your pitch selection, plate discipline, contact rates, angles and batted ball velocity suck, a sweet swing won't do anything for you.
  10. You guys need to hold hands And then jump off a bridge together
  11. So now you're whining about them getting things that they negotiated with the players. As for "free stadiums" that's up to the municipalities involved to deem that taxpayer funding for the stadium will have a net positive effect on the community. Same goes for your unspecified tax breaks. The purpose of tax breaks is to entice companies and individuals to invest in your city and your people. Unlike what AOC thinks, tax breaks are not the same as cutting a cheque to an owner. Both sides have to negotiate this. To say the owners should ignore their own interests because f*** rich people is such a juvenile way to look at it. Stop being so angry.
  12. One of the risks they should have taken into account is an unprecedented pandemic? Lol ok
  13. Yes, how dare owners not want to lose money. They are billionehs and millionehs so who cares if they lose some? We should force them to agree to whatever deal the players want. We could definitely still play baseball and players could still make as much money without any owners.
  14. Nick is being a huge baby. If it makes you guys feel better, he's still involved with Radio Scouts, so once sports start happening he'll probably be back, or at least he'll be writing articles. Pandemic is making everyone grumpy, I think.
  15. I still play Championship Manager 97/98. Just a very fun way to kill time.

    NHL Thread

Lmfao Why don't they just have everyone make the playoffs, then? What's the point of having a regular season? Oh man, the NHL is always good for a laugh. I guess at least Leaves fans can mostly count on making the playoffs every year.
  17. Tucker is also not projected to be a half win player this year and that's by Steamer which is always extremely conservative when it comes to young players. zips (which sucks, admittedly) has him at 3.3 WAR. Also, Kyle Wright will probably end up as a #3ish guy. Certainly not bust territory. India looks pretty good so far. So that's Zimmer (injuries, TINSTAAP), Ray, Gordon, Frazier maybe, Starling and Hobgood. 6/11 were busts. I'd do a comparison with #4 and #3, but I suspect the success rate is similar and I can't be bothered. Hurl is, and I know he hates this word, retarded
  18. I like how Hurl stopped at 2009. Wouldn't want anyone to see who got drafted in 2008. Or 2007, who was really good until injuries derailed his career. Or 2006 who happens to be a Jay alum and fan favourite. Or 2005, the Hebrew Hammer.
  19. Theories, connorpee?
  20. Damn, that Chapman pick was clutch
  21. Have people forgotten that JFJ existed?
  22. I could have sworn that A-Rod hit two grand slams in an inning
  23. First 6: Shaw Thornton Fisher Reid-Foley Roark Borucki or Font, can't decide Next 3: Hernandez Whichever of Font/Borucki is left Waguespack
  24. No, we don't. I know he can't read this, but people should be aware that Bob doesn't really know anything about baseball.
