  1. He's talking about Ball there.
  2. Smith is nice, but Austin Meadows at 11 is a steal imo. They can't pass on him for a guy like Trey Ball.
  3. Meadows >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ball. If they take f***ing Ball over Austin Meadows, I will rage. Of course, that's what they will do. Waste a high pick on a guy with a LOT of uncertainty and projection but who is also very athletic. As a pitcher, no less. UGH.
  4. This guy is so stupid. I like how he's calling everyone else out, though. He's smarter than all of us, no doubt about it.
  5. I don't think anyone will hit a home run, but if it happens...Lind.
  6. I honestly think Lawrie is too stupid, stubborn and conceited to ever fully harness his potential. If I were GM, I'd be trading him ASAP.
  7. Rendon - Has obliterated AA. Really happy I picked him, looks like a surefire star. Dahl - Only played 10 games so far, but I still like him long term. Winker - Destroying the MWL at 19 with a .310/.414/.532 line. 26 walks to 30 strikeouts in 44 games. My favourite prospect. Berrios - 33.1 IP, 40 k's to 6 walks, 2.70 ERA in the MWL. Turns 19 tomorrow. Correa - Walking a shitload, but no pop yet. Hopefully he fills out a bit because he's a toothpick. Could be a monster if he adds power. Sanchez - Been pretty good. Excited about the prospects of him playing in NY. Garcia - Garbage. I'm gonna be cutting him. oops, didnt realize this was intended just for the draft. DeShields - Traded. Big SB potential but I didn't like his bat enough.
  8. Obviously they did, but yeah, it's not lost because of DeRosa. It is, however, a symptom of a bigger problem.
  9. Johnson was bound to get hurt at some point. Both he and Reyes were injury risks and he failed to plan for their inevitable stints on the DL. If I were a GM, you can bet I'd be using every tool at my disposal, including stats, projections and advanced metrics. I'd be drafting baseball players, not athletes. I wouldn't be overreacting to tiny sample sizes. I wouldn't sign a useless POS for the bench just because he gives great pep talks.
  10. If this team is going to sell off parts, I don't want AA doing it. Fire him and let the new guy do it.
  11. So Miguel Cabrera, Ryan Braun, Andrew McCutchen, etc. are not superstars? I don't like Bautista much but there's really no denying that he's one of the top players in all of baseball and very worthy of the title.
  12. People way overreact to small sample sizes in the draft. It only takes a few games for a guy to rocket back up the board which is kind of stupid when you're investing in a guy for almost 10 years.
  13. Important to remember that Zaun was probably the guy who gave Hayhurst s*** for writing his book. Dirk likes to talk about advanced stats, but doesn't really know or apply them very well. I think he does disagree with Zaun on most things, and Zaun is naturally an idiot, but part of him probably enjoys needling him.
  14. Bautista, but I think the O's hit the first one.
  15. lol 3 strikes that were all balls, Lawrie trying to vent without ripping the ump's head off, gets tossed. f***ing umpires.
  16. OMG must mean Toronto is favourites to win THE WORLD SERIES!!! Nothing ever goes wrong here!!
  17. I agree, it is a sure sign indeed. Good thing I didn't call you any names!
  18. GordieDougie, high85, same thing. You still managed to get his name wrong for a second time, which is pretty remarkable when you consider how well known McCown is.
  19. Whoa, one game really corrects the whole season. Are you Dinger's troll account?
  20. So, who did JPA sleep with to keep getting put in the 5 spot? The guy has been an atrocious hitter.
