    I picked the Red Sox to win it all at the start of the playoffs, so I can't complain. I like a few of Boston's players and the fans have never bothered me much. Man, does Erin Andrews ever ask some stupid f***ing questions though. She can be hot, but at least give her a script.

    Also, Hutch, Handsome Jake, Alvarez (3 top guys in the farm) were all hold overs that gained prominence after JPR was fired.

    I don't really see a point in making a list like this when it doesn't tell you anything meaningful.

    I would like to find one GM that would take the Jays' system over Pittsburgh's. IMO, who gives a s*** about minor league depth? You want to go for gold, I'd rather develop one or two star players than 5 or 6 role players. Off the top of my head, I'd take the Reds, Indians, Athletics, Mets, Mariners, Pirates, Rays systems over ours.

    I can't believe they are 11th. I can't think of any guys that have a good chance to be stars outside of Sanchez (big, big maybe) and Stroman (remote, possible reliever). The rest of the intriguing guys are in the low minors. I would easily take the Pirates' system over ours, probably the Mariners too just looking at systems like ours. The Rays and Yankees also both had much better drafts in June.

    I think you are giving AA too much credit, he's more to blame for this mess than Beeston is. He's the one that, somehow, decided having JPA at catcher in a competitive season was acceptable, that drafting like 10 pitchers before taking a position player last draft was a good idea (completely ignoring attrition rates for pitching prospects compared to hitters) and that he'd rather have Miguel Cabrera's 2012 than Mike Trout's 2012. Also keeps getting "athletes" who aren't actually good at baseball but omgzzz tools. Hey Alex! You might have lost almost 90 games, but at least your team is athletic! Bottom line, if you have faith that AA would clean up this mess with Beeston on vacation, your faith is misplaced.

    The way this team uses closers should be: take a good reliever, let him be the closer and rack up saves, trade him and replace with the next best guy. Only idiot GMs give 10 million to a reliever.
