How could you not want to pitch behind this offense? Price would probably have won 25 games if he was there the whole year. Lee has to be thinking about that.
4 seamer too.
Did you not watch the ALCS? I think if anyone could come to appreciate limiting contact, it should be Jays fans. Ned Yost even talks about it every chance he gets, team wide philosophy to put the ball in play. Why would the opposite viewpoint for pitchers not be just as beneficial?
Pillar is fast, Revere is fast, Donaldson is fast, Martin runs very well for a catcher, Reyes runs very well, Goins is quick, Travis is quick, etc.
Negative points probably mostly come from Bautista's hilariously poor baserunning.
Until he gets injured again. Yanks should try to deal him, maybe to SD since Alonso suxxxxx and it would kill your fantasy teams. Bird is too good to be on the bench.
Didn't realize there was also a narrative attached to "best offensive player." Seems pretty straightforward and the writers still f***ed it up. Dude keeps getting unjustly robbed.
I honestly think Stroman is getting bad advice and that's part of the reason I'm happy AA is gone. There seems to be a bit of a trend where pitchers in the minors are being taught to pitch to contact. Minor leaguers leaving the Jays instantly see an uptick in k rate, unless I just didn't go in depth enough. Sanchez has good stuff, rarely misses bats, and now Stroman too. It's all speculation but it does make sense. Rick Anderson did the same thing in Minnesota with disastrous results until Ryan came back and told him to cut that s*** out.
So when these idiots try to drive public opinion based on things they know very little about, it's not a big deal? Do you know how many casual dipshits are complaining about the lack of bunting from the Jays this year? It makes basic baseball conversation here unbearable. People who are uneducated deserve to ride the bandwagon all they like and celebrate the good times but really need to shut the f*** up regarding their uninformed opinions on the game.
