  1. Too many would appear to be the answer.
  2. Gotta save em to face the bottom of the order and stuff in the 9th cuz saves Glad we have such a progressive thinker managing this team.
  3. Gibby is Ned Yost. The similarities are so troubling.
  4. That's so awesome. Pretty amazing how simply ditching the cutouts adds so much to the park.
  5. You know I only s*** on Rodon because Bird is injured, right?
  6. Oh I just thought you were putting down names of rookie-ish guys who are likely to pitch significant innings this year.
  7. I actually think you're being a bit low on the curve. Maybe even low on the fastball, including movement. His high fastball was devastating. Why didn't he ever try to chuck it up there before? That 2-8 curve could be deadly, looked really good and afaik he's never really thrown it before. I also like that Sanchez puts in so much work and effort, and it's good to see guys like him rewarded.
  8. Probably around Mark Appel. Similar: poor command, poor strikeout totals, big arm with mysteriously poor results. I usually think I'm pretty calm in these situations so I'm kind of disturbed by the jump I gave him after one start. Looking at the list and there's only two I guess and neither one is a slam dunk: Jameson Taillon and John Lamb. I'd have Blackburn on this list, though. He might also challenge.
  9. I feel like NJH probably doesn't deserve that.
  10. Well it's about getting the name out. If you needed to buy a phone, who are the first companies to come to mind? Probably Apple and Samsung, two companies that spend f***loads on advertising.
  11. I might slot him in at 25, between Norris and Vince. I can't get over a couple things. It would be fine to write this off as one start where the Rays were just exceptionally s***** but: - where did this change come from? - Mark Shapiro/Ross Atkins - dunno what they personally had to do with it but I can imagine a culture where pitching to contact was encouraged. I actually heard the Marlins announcers yesterday complaining that Fernandez strikes out too many guys and he needs to pitch to contact. That line of thinking still exists. These guys oversaw the creation of Kluber, Salazar, Carrasco. - held his velocity - whiffs on his fastball and he was throwing it up. Woo hoo! - working with a 2 plane curve now and it seems a lot better than the 12-6. There are a few guys behind him that I'd still have ahead of him but I have to work in the confines of your s***** list so take that for what it's worth.
  12. Where to even start, Nola too low, Rodon way too high, Glasnow too high, Lamb too low, Eickoff too low, Greene too high and idk if you know this but Espinoza is like 18. If you want to give it another try, I'll allow it.
  13. Can't wait for the media to demand an apology. Hope Gibbons sticks to his guns. And then gets fired.
  14. Your list is bad and you should feel bad
  15. Oh yeah, taken out of context 100%. I should go look for his posts where he argues against free speech and is too dimwitted to realize it. Maybe a better Sig in there.
  16. Great post brah. They call stay at home dads are "losers" and then wonder why it's always women who handle the brunt of childrearing. I will just say that female rights advocates don't really have anything to fight for either.
  17. Yup. She said she doesn't care because women are equal. She's never once felt like she was a lesser person in her life. I guess that's the difference between strong, confident women who can take something like that lightheartedly and a butthurt tumblrette who is looking to be offended by something 24 hours a day.
  18. The issues of the patriarchy and stuff. Duhhhhhhhhh
  19. Anecdote: I was talking to my fiancee about this, and I asked her how she felt, as a woman. She said she couldn't really give a s*** and can't even understand why someone would get upset over something that trivial. She also said he probably has a point because it would be a lot harder to slide in a dress. I look at it in a kind of weird way; I find the entire narrative that women are weaker than men to be hilarious, and the ones who constantly push it are the ones who are fighting against it, somehow. Women aren't weaker or worse than men. In terms of physical strength, sure, but I choose to not even entertain the notion that this is debatable and laugh it off as Gibby being dumb. It's kind of like how a lot of gay guys act like huge homophobes before coming out. If you really think Gibbons' comment can be taken seriously, you must think that women are weak to some degree. And for that, you're a sexist, misogynist pig.
  20. And you know these injuries are turf related because...?
  21. If you've concluded this just now, I think your "insufferable dickbag" meter needs a major sample size adjustment.
  22. Yeah probably. A mob of pissy crybabies can pout and stomp their way to pretty much anything they want.
  23. Have you noticed an isometric K in his batting stance or is that just me?
