  1. Holy f***, a voice of reason. Thank you.
  2. You only assault your family?
  3. You can simultaneously hate what he did and act like a goddamn human being and be willing to rehabilitate and reintegrate him into society. Unless you want the guy dead, the only thing you accomplish by ostracizing him and cutting off all job prospects is putting more kids at risk. It's absolutely silly that we take such a vengeful and unforgiving stance to make ourselves feel better, even at the expense of more victims.
  4. Lol ok. So should he get the death penalty?
  5. Are you retarded? Of course you would. He's free, did nothing to provoke you and you assaulted him. I'd hope you would get charged for that, otherwise what kind of stupid society do we live in?
  6. I don't get it either. This thread has turned into some kind of gross virtue signaling exercise about who is most against child molestation. Because, you know, some people are totally for it. "If I saw this guy, I'd beat his face in! That's how much I'm against child molesters!"
  7. True, I agree. What Matt Bush did was a lot worse. Glad he straightened out, though.
  8. Then I hope you'd both be sent to jail for assault and have your criminal records impair your ability to find work.
  9. So you commit a crime, and go to jail. You get out of jail (jail being your supposed complete punishment for said crime) and then are ostracized by society and literally no one will hire you. Are you really surprised so many become repeat offenders? I think what he did was bad but let's not equate it with something like rape or torture.
  10. Doesn't really change his point. He couldn't get a regular job with that resume either. People are way too vengeful. It's scary seeing a thread like this where people self righteously deem that a guy should basically kill himself for a crime he committed, or at least be exiled to the wilderness. If he's not in jail, then he's not deemed to be a threat. He should have opportunities to better himself. Some of you people make me sick.
  11. I agree. I think the guy should not be able to work in any capacity so that it's more likely he relapses or commits other crimes so we can prove that rehab doesn't work.
  12. Death penalty is the only solution imo, by putting him in a glass tank full of poisonous spiders. Not too poisonous that he dies too quickly, though, he needs to suffer.
  13. I think we've all been in situations where things get a bit heated and you grab her a little too firmly. Honestly, does it need to blow up like this and the players in question treated like dogshit for the rest of their careers? Sure, Reyes is one thing but I'm going to assume that there's a bit of embellishment going on at best.
  14. They really should use this as motivation to change back to the Spiders. They currently have the ugliest uniforms in baseball and being named "Indians" is pretty lame. Spiders are way cooler than Indians.
  15. You'd have to prove that the accuser willfully lied about the charge, which is nearly impossible to do. I think it's happened a few times in cases where the victim of the false charge has a solid alibi but I think most people just want to be done with the whole thing and out of court.
  16. How do you know if they don't get reported? Also, I'm trying to figure out why Brock Turner is such a big deal if rape is so common in schools?
  17. I mean, I loathe to agree with Grant on anything, but fake rape claims are fairly common. Particularly for women involved with athletes or celebrities, and there are absolutely no legal ramifications for them doing so. Then to get on your little virtuous soapbox and speak for women as if they are little, delicate flowers who get discouraged by pretty much anything is laughable. Skepticism. Try it sometime.
  18. lol jesus christ
  19. listen and believe
  20. Why can't they just use the statcast thinger to track the flight of the ball and see if it hit anything?
  21. It looked to me like it had to have hit something because of the way it bounced to the outfield wall. It lost a lot of steam and came at a pretty steep angle.
  22. Gibby should probably move Pillar down soon.
