I'd rather have Trubisky than Wentz and he'd have just cost money, and a lot less of it. Jimmy G might cost the same as what they got for Wentz but probably better and used to working in a similar offense in SF where there's a heavy reliance on the run and short-intermediate passes. What separates Brady for me is that he was never supposed to be any good.
