The presser today was a goddamn dumpster fire I did not realize Paul DePodesta was with the Browns now. Watson trade makes sense with that soulless little nerd advising Andrew Berry.

I can speak for literally every single Buffalo fan and we view this as a positive because who cares about the Dolphins but the Chiefs being worse is huge.

I actually think Miami and KC both lose. KC gets worse and will not draft a player nearly as impactful as Tyreek Hill unless they somehow get a Jamarr Chase clone, and Miami has a s***** QB who will waste one year of Hill and then they'll draft another next year to waste 2 more years of Hill.

Holy s***, this FA period is WILD. Tyreek Hill to Miami. When you have a noodle armed bitch like Tua, Hill is the exact type of player you want. He can turn a 5 yard slant into 40-50 yards. With Waddle, Gesicki and Parker...they're a QB away from being pretty scary. Dunno how I feel about this. On one hand, I feel like this makes the Chiefs significantly worse. On the other, the Bills play the Dolphins twice and they have gotten a lot better. Are the Patriots the worst team in the AFC East? I think they might be.
  6. Remember some long ass time ago, the Blue Jays were playing the Angels for like a billion extra innings? Went nearly till 3am and then Yunel Escobar got dinged for interference that was arguably ******** and the Jays lost? Yeah I'm gonna say I wish I had that time back to do literally anything else.
  7. Never said I liked it, just that there are a lot of OT rules that are worse.
  8. In tournament play, soccer goes to penalty kicks Hockey goes to a shootout NFL OT rules are dumb Basketball doesn't count MLB might have the least stupid OT rule of any of those sports even with the runner (who is not a ghost runner)

I'm not sure, I read that they structured the contract to have a minimal cap hit in year one in the case of a lengthy suspension for Watson. E: yeah, it's a 10 million cap hit this year and a base salary of a million bucks. Scumbags. 55 million each of the following 4 years though, lol. All guaranteed.

Baker has a cap hit of 19 million whether they keep him or cut him. The Browns really should have had a buyer lined up before grabbing Watson, because I'll be surprised if Watson isn't suspended for most, if not all, season. Baker won't play for them, I assume, so you're spending a good chunk of your salary cap on two QBs who aren't going to be playing. Baker would need to go through the motions and actually play in order to get paid, though, so who knows. What a dumpster fire. Dunno what he'll do. Doesn't look like there's a lot of interest so he might have to swallow his pride and try to ball out in order to get a contract next season.

Considering they are trying to trade Lockett and Adams, I think they are going to take a QB in the draft.

  14. I get how his experience has coloured his view of this stuff, but still. There's no need to open your mouth about it if, as you openly admit, you don't know.

Believe me, I haven't changed. Look, you're a petit woman who offers massage services...on Instagram. Ok, kinda weird but whatever, you're not advertising that you dole out rub and tugs. Famous athlete Deshaun Watson hits you up to fly you in for a massage. You end up alone, in a room with him, perform your services and then as you finish and he's naked, he solicits you for a blow job or sex. You consider your options, and though you feel gross, doing what he wants seems to be the obvious easy way out. Criminal? I dunno. But it's similar to the Louis CK situation, though what Louis did wasn't nearly as bad. I just don't feel like consent can reasonably be given in that situation. I have no problem if Watson wants to bang all his masseuses, but that arrangement needs to be agreed to beforehand. Springing it on them in that situation, especially considering he did it TWENTY TWO times, tells me he knew exactly what he was planning to get after each massage but never bothered to let her know. Is that too much to ask? I don't think it is. And all of this would still be hearsay except for the fact that his lawyers admitted to all of this. I am always going to land on the side of innocent until proven guilty unless you open your dumb mouth and admit to it. Check on my previous thoughts regarding this: The number of accusers in regards to Watson didn't matter (especially since the sleazebag lawyer who was buds with the Texans' owner was actively recruiting accusers) until Watson's lawyers made the admission. At that point, the number matters as a sign of a pattern of behaviour in terms of misleading women into what services he's actually seeking. Oh, and addressing your point with the inviting a girl to your apartment thing, I feel like the implication of sex is pretty standard. I'm not saying celebrities aren't more susceptible to false accusations: look at what's happening to Dave Portnoy. He has sex with a girl, finds out she's a loon in talking with her afterwards, she sleeps on the couch, then an investigative "journalist" looking for smear material finds her and all of a sudden, the sex wasn't consensual. I totally get that this type of ******** happens. There are just too many red flags with Watson.

It baffles me that Watson won't face charges. He didn't deny any of the allegations, just that they were consensual...in an environment that I would not consider the woman able to refuse to consent. You know..."the implication". Like, imagine being some massage therapist on IG (wtf? Red flag #1, not using actual RMTs) and Deshaun Watson asks you to come down to provide your services. Then he pulls his dick out. Just you and him. Gonna say no? This all changes if the sexual acts were agreed to beforehand but I have not heard that argued. You know I'm rarely one of these types to get on my soapbox and white knight but this is one of the most clear cut cases of sexual abuse I've ever heard. On top of that, guys like him wanting an actual massage would have a go to, probably on the Texans' staff, not 22 different randos you don't know. Who needs that many massages in that period of time anyway?

I dunno, but this Watson stuff is not going over well with Browns fans. They are all jumping ship to join us. This is wild. Browns fan sites are shutting down, people are cancelling their season tickets, no doubt they start losing advertisers. The scumbags even structured the contract to guard against a year 1 suspension.

Holy f***, what an unbelievably stupid contract for a guy who might get suspended for a lengthy amount of time. 230 million and ALL of it is guaranteed. Well, at least the Browns have a good QB for the first time ever.

The issue isn't them wanting to upgrade on Baker. The issue is that they can openly explore for that upgrade and then say "jk lol", expect Baker to be ok with that when he has a future to worry about and then tell him that they won't trade him. I get that the Browns are under no obligation to trade Mayfield, but I also think it's total ******** that they can go ahead and try to upgrade, openly, embarrassing their "franchise QB" and then expect him to give 100% for a team that clearly doesn't want him. Imo, if you're exploring a trade to replace your QB, you better commit to that. The Browns are trash and I will forever laugh at the PFF chuds who had them as the best team evar prior to 2021.
  23. Thank you for the perfectly correct 20% reduction you pulled out of your ass. Super correct.

I actually think they will go QB at 22 and then let the Bills take Chris Olave and then grab future gadget guy Treylon Burks. Also, are we pretending that Rodgers isn't constantly pissed off? I don't like Baker Mayfield and I think he sucks dicks. However, the Browns are absolutely in the wrong here. Some NFL commentator said that the Browns wanted an open relationship with Baker, but only for them. So funny how they tricked everyone into thinking they weren't a complete dumpster fire for like a year.
