    What could the Jays get for Romero from the Angels or anyone else for that matter.? Jays need a 2b/ss prospect.

    Very true. the bats are strong. If the pitching can hold up, the jays could continue to improve. I am shocked, but Gibby's new lineup seems to be working. Jays have a shot at above 500 season.

    Yes. Bonifacio has come around with the bat the last few games. I still don't trust him in the OF or INF.

    That would make sense if they want to give Melky a day 2 day rest or DL Melky & bring up Sierra. Wilner said stroman may be with the team in June as a starter which I find interesting.

    Morrow's start has been delayed again. It's Ortiz taking his spot. Morrow has back issues, I think.

    Agreed. The Jays did not let Snider play a full season in 2011 even after he was healthy & they told him he could stay the entire season. Why was AA so quick to demote Snider, yet Rivera, Patterson, & Fred Lewis got regular playing time.? It's even more unusual because AA's early trades was picking up players who got jerked around by their prior teams. Morrow was a reliever/starter for the Mariners. Lawrie was a misfit for the Brewers etc... Snider would have been great as a 4th OF. Maybe there were clubhouse issues? It's odd because Lincoln was a higher draft pick than Snider yet wouldn't Snider have more value to most teams than another middle reliever???

    LOL!. Jays trying to imitate the Leafs. In fairness, didn't he throw over 40 pitches? Wasn't Lincoln a starter for the Pirates for part of the last season?

    It is a very relaxing game to watch. This Jays offense may be able to get the team to 500 before the all star break.

    I find Davidi to have a broadcast voice that puts me to sleep. How an davidi justify Henry Blanco & Derosa as "clubhouse vets" when the team is 15-24. Blanco can catch Dickey but so can Thole. Thole probably has a better bat than Blanco.

    Very true. It's not like other teams plan their lineups around the Jays rotation. Sometimes I suspect the Jays want to sell walkup tickets , but that would be very marginal revenue, so I doubt it's worth it. The other issue is that the Jays refusal to put players on the DL means they always play with a short bench. Wouldn't it make more sense to DL Morrow & backdate the injury to his last start.? Then the Jays could get another reliever another bat for the bench.

    I do wonder what's going on with the Jays training staff. Players get hurt all the time but the Jays injuries seem to come out of left field. Santos was pitching a few days ago in extended spring training, now he needs surgery? Bizarre. It would be a good research project to see if other teams similarly misdiagnose their players injuries.

    This is becoming a recurring theme with the Jays. Santos pitches a few innings per year then gets hurt. Very bad news for the Jays. Luckily Santos has a long term contract.

    Dustin Mcgowan back as a starter??? I would be stunned. He is a reliever now.Santos would be a welcome addition to the team. Casey & Santos would be a good 1-2 punch

    If Ricky pitches as badly in Buffalo as he did on the road, the Bisons fans may demand he get sent to NH. )) I wish Ricky the best but I would like to know what is really going with him. Is it possible that he has an undisclosed physical injury?

    Failed Jays prospects would be a good thread. When I started following the Jays in 2008, Snider was hyped like crazy. Cito & Farrell treated him like a leper. Even as a 4th OF bench bat, I would rather have let the Jays keep him.

    Just Curious. Who do you think the DH will be for the Jays on opening day 2014.? Does AA pick up Lind's option at 7 million or pay the $2 million buyout & find someone else. The problem I have with Lind is that he requires a platoon partner for LHP. I like Kittenface personally, & am impressed with his ability to take walks this year, but it seems that the Jays need a bat that can hit LHP & RHP> Thoughts? Morneau is a free agent & can play 1B. He also had a concussion in 2010 . Anyone else available on the free agent market in 2014? Does AA move Bautista to DH in 2014? Bring up Gose?

    I have a suspicion that the screener allows a few ignorant callers through to make for an entertaining Jays Talk. On the other hand there could be many dumb fans.

    This is true, but the Jays would need at least 2 of the AL East teams to collapse. The Yankees with the Jays B Team have done much better than anticipated. Baltimore is playing well. The Rays could falter. Red Sox are slowing down, but will they collapse? At this point, if the Jays got to 85 wins, I would be be very happy.
