  1. At best Cecil would likely become a league average starter. I'll take my chances with Morrow, he has ace upside even with the potential health risks. I'd rather see McGowan given another shot over Cecil TBH.
  2. Says the annoying 13 year old know it all.
  3. I'm just happy to see Murphy gone.
  4. I second this. He posts the same old s*** everyday. We get it man, you don't like AA, Beaston, Stoeten or anyone else who's employed by the Jays.
  5. It was clear as day. I have no idea how 6 umpires missed that call.
  6. Isn't there video replay for this s***? That was an absolutely brutal call.
  7. For anyone interested in looking back at some 2013 predictions from the old board. 2013 Predictions
  8. I'm just about positive it wouldn't cost Stroman or Sanchez. If Murphy was already a Blue Jay you'd be telling us all how little trade value he had. You certainly wouldn't be expecting a teams top prospect in return.
  9. I agree with bzapple. One GDT for each day would be great. Having a GDT for every game is too much confusion and having just 1 GDT for the entire playoffs make it difficult to follow.
  10. I could see 2015 being a bit of a problem since the team already has $91,200,000 in commitments but, 2016 doesn't look nearly as bad with just $27,000,000 committed as of right now.
  11. Scioscia please. Although I'd take Girardi as well. I'm still not convinced Gibbons job is safe, the casual's are calling for his head and someone has to go.
  12. If I were one of these young prospects I'd likely be suspended for the alcohol abuse as well, turning down a party with women that look like that isn't really an option.
  13. Chris Stewart walks back to the dugout after what appears to be strike two. http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/yankees-catcher-chris-stewart-strikes-only-two-strikes-090441756--mlb.html?vp=1
  14. Why Rasmus? He's probably the smartest base runner on the team and plays a great CF. Just because he's a bit shy and speaks slowly doesn't mean he's stupid. Rajai Davis wins this by a land slide.
  15. They've already said payroll will be going up. They were talking somewhere in the $140M range but I won't be surprised to see it closer to $150M. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/davidi-upgrades-to-jays-roster-wont-come-easy/
  16. He tried to upgrade his seat but apparently that's not an option after you've already boarded the plane. Your right though, could have been a much more interesting article if Elliott had actually been permitted to sit with AA.
  17. Do you actually believe his comments from this past offseason mean a thing?
  18. What makes you so sure of this? AA himself said this team will be looking to upgrade starting pitching and defence through trade or FA. Not once have I heard that this teams payroll is capped or close to it.
  19. Now your talking about contracts from 92/93? I really couldn't care less how much money Carter made, we won a f***ing championship. I'm not sure any fans really cared about money at that time. We had the highest payroll in baseball, the best team in baseball, and record numbers of fans coming through the gate. I understand your concern though, thanks to Carter we probably won't have the money to sign any free agents in the offseason.
  20. No I wasn't wrong. I said Carter wasn't a superstar but that he was a big part of the WS teams. He put up 4.9 WAR between 92 and 93 that's not replacement level. Being 6th in value doesn't mean s***, it's not his fault the team was so f***ing good.
  21. That was in the ALCS not the World Series, big difference. Carter's homerun is widely considered one of the greatest homeruns in World Series history. I'm not about to say Carter was a superstar but he was a good player and a major part of this teams two World Series championships.
  22. I assume Bautista would be playing if the Jays were still in contention, same goes for Rasmus. I'm not exactly sure what the big questions are with Bautista? He provided 4.2 WAR in just 118 games this season. What more do you want for $14M? Do you ever say anything positive about a player or this team? Your almost as bad as high85 ffs.
  23. Great news. I'm curious, who's going to be writing? Hopefully the writers are ready for the backlash from casual fans, I get the feeling their not going to like everything they see here.
  24. Is there a reason why the Jays and Argos couldn't play on a natural grass field inside the RC?
  25. This team could find better ways to spend $84M.
