He's probably staying with Brooklyn because no one else seems to be offering a young blue chip prospect like Barnes, and it seems like Masai isn't offering that either.

If you go all in on a 34 year Durant who's missed a million games the last few years you might have no championship and then also no draft picks or a young potential all-star for the next time there's a superstar available. Anyways it seems like Pheonix doesn't even have the assets to make a godfather offer anyways, OG + GTR and 4 picks probably beats any thing they can put together.

No but I don't expect the roster you proposed to win either. GTR is mediocre, FVV gets shut down in the playoffs by a bigger defenders and OG can't create offense. Need Siakam in there.

That roster would need an all time carry job by KD to win a championship. He'll be asking for a trade again next offseason.

Not much point to trading for Durant if you include siakam too. Fvv and og is not a good enough supporting cast.

Yes I know. My head says go for it. I would still be sad if Barnes is traded though. I always wanted to see a homegrown superstar to play on the raptors for 10+ years. I know chances of Barnes becoming a superstar is probably not greater than 10 percent but I still don't feel good about this.

34 year old KD with an extensive injury history... nah. Maybe if we didn't just recently win a championship I would feel differently.

Even in the short year he was out of gas by the playoffs. Guy's arm was held together by glue when they signed him.

Are we allowed to say this was a bad signing? Jays looked at the medicals and gave him 80 mil. Would probably have been cooked after his first year if 2020 was a full season.
