1. I'm really going to regret this choice...
2. I'll pick Izturis, solely because no one has picked him tonight.
3. At this rate, he should be able to go seven innings again.
4. With Bautista at DH, do we put Bonifacio out there, or shift Encarnacion?
5. Is there anything Lind can't do?
6. Damn, I almost picked Arencibia for a homer today.
7. The first couple times the Rangers announcers said his name, they mispronounced it, then realized their mistake and corrected themselves. I've been fairly impressed with their crew.
8. Unfortunately for us, they've been playing well the last week and a half, after having that terrible stretch.
9. I'll go with Bautista today.
10. It's pretty bad. A quick search resulted in this one. http://thunderbaseball.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/wang.jpg
11. When he had his first appearance this season and was throwing mid 90s, I was incredibly surprised. I thought he might top out in the lower 90s.
12. What? Everything I can find says he was conscious the whole time and was taken to the hospital. Nothing about him dying.
13. I wonder if it's something as simple as consistent appearances. I did a quick check of his game logs and came up with some interesting numbers:

2012 2013

PA 115 164

Team Games 157 55

One day off 8 5

Two days off 9 0

Three or more days off 12 0

Played, but did not start game 32 7

Started, but did not finish game 6 9

14. I don't know if there are projections for swing and contact rates, but compared to last year, his O-swing went from 28.5% to 21.8%, and his Z-swing went from 63.8% to 59.4%, so he's certainly swinging at less. He's also seeing about 8% fewer pitches inside the zone. His O-contact went from 66.1% to 83.3%, and his Z-contact went from 90.2% to 95.7%. So not only is he swinging at less, and walking more, but he's making contact on more of the pitches he does swing at.
15. It's really good that he's testing his legs with the triple and the two stolen bases.
16. I like how Kawasaki has a 13.4% walk rate when he was only projected to be around 5.7%.
17. Looking at the boxscores, I had forgotten that Zach day threw a complete game shutout in the first game. I do remember, during the second game, Tomo Ohka broke his arm on a comebacker in the third. Sun-Woo Kim came on and pitched 4.1 innings of perfect baseball after that.
18. I typically try to wait until right before the game. I usually work from school everyday, and when there are evening games, I've already been at school for about 12 hours, so it's about the right time for me to quit for the day. When it's a day game, I sometimes forget that they're even playing, so that's why I made my choice tonight.
19. Holy s***, I had forgotten about that f***ing video! My ears!
20. I went to the June 10th, 2004 Expos-Royals doubleheader here in KC with my dad, as a combined father's day/my birthday event. It was good times. It was the first, and last, time I ever got to see the Expos play live. And they won both games. I remember seeing what seemed like close to a thousand Expos hats/jerseys in the stands. Good times, good times.
21. I'm going to switch it up and go with Lind tomorrow.
