    Welcome to the board. I was just discussing the other day with a colleague about what the NFL will be in 20 years and how extremely different I think the game will be. The Bills broke my heart (FOUR TIMES!) and that was my exit :|

    After the way this offseason has progressed leaguewide, I would have to say that these numbers are obsolete. No team is going to give JD 8 or even 6 years.

    I know the prevailing thought is that Stro will bolt for the NYY at first opportunity, but the more I hear from him, I think he is a tailor-made NY Met. Edit - or an OriLOLe. Showalter is about his height isn’t he?

    Are players even present for hearings? I always assumed it was a bunch of lawyers/agents representing both sides in a very clinical debate over a players overall value.

    IMHO that’s Shatkins plan this OS. Sign veterans to short cheapish deals ala WS winning Sox. Either lightning strikes and the planets align or we ship out the whole lot at the deadline. I don’t see any other way to succeed at their stated plans.

    Saw in a yahoo article a guy named Miles Mikolas as a long shot candidate for the rotation. Loving the 2017 stats, but how do they translate? 2017 stats: 9.0 K/9, 1.1 BB/9, 0.5 HR/9, 2.25 ERA in 188 IP (Japan) Anybody know about him?

    So just sitting here watching ALDS and thinking how much I miss Tall’s Hill and the flagpole. Recently Shapiro commented about his desire for irregular field dimensions (I’m paraphrasing). So... what would you design? Inspiration... Outfield rocks in Anaheim Trees in Denver Green Monster Monument Stadium at Yankee Stadium I would shorten the wall in right to accomodate a feature (maybe a new level of excellence area that features Carter and Bautista homer statues and something for Roy and Delgado) and have the flight deck extended a bit over the field. Bring the fans into the game. Dream big. What signifies Toronto Baseball or Skydome and can be built into a unique feature. Welcome to the offseason... sigh. Go ‘Stros
