I'm sure you are right. But I still wonder why that is. I'm thinking... if you are pitching in Lansing you pitch a certain way. Maybe you can overwhelm so many guys with your fastball... or get hackers chasing stuff..... strategies that will not work in the high minors or the majors.... but you still want him in a setting where the results hardly matter.... so would he be better in Buffalo? Facing tough outs, learning for 3 years how to get those tough outs? Or like you said, do you do it a level at a time. But like I said... the results don't matter much at all levels and potentially you develop bad habits that you have to move away from anyway once you reach the high minors.... so why not just start there?
Again... I think in the end, you... and player development are right.
