    I just don't think you can outbid the Angels or Dodgers. Angels are worst off then we are for starting pitching and have no trade chips at all. The Dodgers just have too much money.... and then the Red Sox... Yankees................... We have the money.... but he will be soooo over paid.

    I just miss guys that can hit. People talk sooo much about power. But just too many times this year I've seen runners in scoring position and two guys come up and strike out back to back... Or something similar. Just to have a guy that can make solid contact when there is a runner on third with one out seems like something this team lacks.

    There is a lot of people on this board that don't like him. They might be right. But part of me suspects they don't like him because they didn't like him from the beginning. Keith Law never talked about him when he was 17... so he can't be good.

    I think EE should be higher. I don't think his defense is as bad as people think. He was largely fine when put at 3rd this year. I feel when he was at his worst, he was fighting mental demons, terrified failure would send him out of the league. He is 100x more confident right now. He's still below average defender, but he is not terrible.

    I am just guessing there are a lot of teams seen what Puig is doing and that may inflate the market for young Cuban defectors right now.... that's all.

    This would probably be the worst time to sign a guy like that. Price will be through the roof. Probably a scrub.

    I think he had a point... But maybe not one he was trying to make. If the Jays are going to get Garza and not pay a kings ransom, maybe he takes a big bloated contract in return.

    He hits a bunch of doubles... and has 9 hr's so far this.... that's pretty good. Contact hitter.... doesn't K much.

    Here is a question. Do you think right now... if you offered AJ Jimenez to the Mets straight up, considering his injury history.... would the Mets do the trade?

    I don't know if they were a factor in the playoffs... but I'm sure they stabilized the bull pen enough to help the cards get there. I'm not even sure if they were in a playoff spot at the time of the trade.

    No. He is on the weighted ball program. He can pitch 300 innings now.

    I think he is a very good GM. He brought us to the table with pocket aces and got busted.... it happens. I also think he has the ability to learn from his mistakes... though I could be wrong. I don't think you will see him make a Happ like trade this year to try and salvage the season.

    I think the vast majority thought it was an overpay as well. I listened to what most experts had to say... they said the same thing.... but most everyone that analyzed didn't hammer it... they knew the thinking behind it. I think it may have been Keith Law... but someone respected gave an opinion on why they ripped Kansas for the James Shields deal but not TO for the Dickey deal.

    Just a question, that was brought up on the Jays talk. Is next years comp pick 11 or 10? Considering we would have been 9 if Pittsburgh hadn't been given a comp pick this year. Is it for sure we pick 11?
