    One of the great aspects of Toronto is that all of our major sports teams play in the downtown core. Building a stadium in Downsview would be absurd. The Ex is the obvious choice. TFC has done well there but they'd need to fill in the surrounding areas with some commercial development in order to make it work.

    It's time to go all-in and the Raps have the pieces to do so. Detroit has made Drummond available. A Drummond for JV (plus pieces) swap makes sense for both teams. Drummond gives us the elite rebounder that we so desperately need and having Ibaka on the floor would still allow for decent spacing. It's pretty evident that Casey will never trust JV with important minutes. Van Gundy would probably love a center with the offensive upside of JV. Also, very promising signs from the youngsters tonight. Powell was huge in the first half and Poeltl brings a lot of energy. But special mention for Delon Wright. He's been brilliant in flashes when healthy over the last two years. Great size, active on D. Once he improves the jumper and his handle he's going to be a force... Joseph is clearly expendable now so his contract can be used to balance the dollars in a trade if Masai decides to make another. Great win but Masai needs to swing for the fences here.

    Exactly the type of owner every fan should want for their team. He cared so much about the success of his teams.

    He can actually hit RHP pretty well. Against RHP: 10.1 BB% 103 wRC+ Fangraphs shows his hard hit balls % being above his career average the last few years but his BABIP took a big hit. Perhaps unlucky. Perhaps a prime candidate for a bounce back?

    My most vivid memory of JPA is the season opener of 2013. I still lived on the east coast at the time and my father and I decided to fly up for the Indians series at the last minute. I ended up buying terrible tickets in the third row from the top (from Hurl nonetheless). JPA proceeded to allow 3 or 4 passed balls and we ended up losing a snoozer. Horrible start to a very disappointing season. It was also my fathers first ever Jays game live. His hatred for JPA was born that day.

    There is no reason to think Travis can hold up for an entire season. Tulo has also had some injuries flare up. Not saying that he could slot into shortstop.. but there are definitely ways to get Valbuena into the lineup consistently seeing as how we have some fragile players. We could even get creative and have a Valbuena/Zeke platoon in left.

    FFS just give him 2-3 years. Again, one year removed from near .400 wOBA and 40 HR. He's still potentially an elite bat.

    Football is a wonderful sport. It's the most beloved game in the world for a reason. Did you post this after screaming at a bunch of kids to get off your lawn? MLS' quality isn't super high yet but it's light years ahead of where it was a few years back. We need events like these to help spur interest in the game so our national team can improve. Cheers to TFC for a great year. I'll be getting season seats next year.

    Even if they brought JB back at DH I'm sure half of the board would still be up in arms. Bautista on a 2-3 year deal at a reasonable AAV would be a complete steal.

    The disrespect for Jose is pretty hilarious. The guy is one year removed from a 40HR, .250/.377/.536 season. Walk rates are still through the roof. He had some injuries last year and still put up a very, very good offensive year. Shatkins will clearly bring him back as a primary DH if an offer is made. Yes, bringing back one of the greatest players in franchise history on a short-term deal when he is still very capable of putting up excellent numbers is absolutely nauseating. The hive is at it again.
