  1. Janssen has thrown a whopping 8 innings in non-save situations........
  2. If the Tigers get in the playoffs they're going to be so tough with Verlander and Scherzer going 1-2. Tough to match up against that.
  3. Not 100% legit
  4. So tonight we should be pulling for the Twins to beat Cleveland and Detroit to beat Boston... no other really relevant games for the Jays.
  5. Including today, the Jays are on pace for just under 2.5M fans (just over 30K a game)... which is fantastic... Obviously those #s will increase if we get hot and keep drawing 45K on the weekends.
  6. Oliver should almost never face a RH in a tight spot. The guy is throwing 86-87 now. Terrifying.
  7. It came out wrong when I said "I'm not a huge fan of Loup". I just don't think he's going to be a world killer ala a prime Matt Thornton. He's a keeper... good GB%.. great command.. It'll just be interesting to see what happens when the league adapts to his herky-jerky delivery.
  8. Maicer is starting to really play some fantastic ball. He's such much better than the -1.2 WAR he's compiled so far this year. Over a full season, Kawasaki is on pace for 2.2 WAR.... For a guy with almost zero power to speak of... that is pretty damn good. DeRosa has an .852 OPS vs LHP this year! Boni f***ing sucks... but holds some value as a pinch runner and occasional spot starter. Gibby knows how to put guys in the right spots to get the most out of them. I have no doubt that he'll continue to maximize the minimal skill sets that these guys posses down the stretch.
  9. Luis Perez, Hutch, Drabek, Loup, Lincoln, Romero, Jenkins, Carreno... All experienced guys who can provide a boost down the stretch. Lots of depth.
  10. Oh! And we're not in last place anymore! Tied with Tampa for 4th! =)
  11. Josh Johnson is SO due for a victory tomorrow. He looks like he's starting to put it all together...... Things are getting interesting....
  12. You cannot project middle relievers even 2-3 years out... let alone "for years". Loup has some nice control but is fairly reliant on that deceptive delivery. We'll see. He's intriguing. I wish the best for him.
  13. The output you get from Loup and Perez up until the ASB will probably be almost identical. I'm sure someone else gets hurt around that time and a callup will be needed. Keep as much talent in the system as possible. It'd be a shame to lose Perez.
  14. Poor asset management IMO. It's only been 10 innings in the bigs for Perez.. but he looks like that kind of guy who can go on a crazy hot streak for a while. Eventually he'll go full gas-can and blow up... but ride the hot arm until he falls apart. I'm not a huge fan of Loup.. but he is fairly talented. He's only thrown SIX innings so far in June. He's clearly fallen out of favour as the go-to LH.... Send him down and let him face RH and LH on a consistent basis. He'd be a nice boost in September once the other guys fatigue.
  15. The clothing is a massive hit all across the country. 5 years ago in Halifax I would be lucky to see one Jays shirt/hat being worn when walking around. Now... tons of people are wearing the gear. So great to see. Canada's team is bacK!
  16. I'm not really a huge Loup fan (Jesse Carlson 2.0).. so I wouldn't be against this.
  17. Perez is obviously going to be the one. If McGowan had options... Its be him. Shame, Perez is filthy.....but expendable
  18. Davis will get paid by some team.... But it we can get him back for 2/8-10 id be pretty tempted Hits LHP and is a world killer on the bases Hes going to win us a bunch of games late down the stretch with his legs So valuable
  19. Jose is really not even close at all I dont see things improving anytime soon for him
