This largely Gibbons' fault if true. As the manager he should've intervened and sat him. He is supposed to have the last say on who plays and who doesn't.
He's not the right guy to manage this team.
Gibbons is not at fault for the team that he's been given, but I do agree that he isn't the right manager for this team. These clowns need a disciplinarian running the show.
Diaz played on a world championship team last year. He played in a winning culture and does all of the little things well. He will have a fantastic influence on team chemistry in the clubhouse. He's a bulldog who just knows how to win.
I don't get why Kawasaki didn't get the call? He was probably the most fundamentally sound guy we had on the team for large stretches last year. At least he doesn't K all that much and can draw a walk.
How could AA and Beeston not get desperate here? They must have received reassurance from the new head of Rogers that they at least have another few years to sort this s*** out.
This is not the behaviour of a person who thinks his job is on the line.
I forget the backstory, this is related to Paxton correct?
This has nothing to do with Beeston and Boras. The Jays have a need and Drew needs to play. He'll be fairly compensated. Both parties need to stop acting like children and get this done.
So let me get this straight.
We're willing to go 1/14 on Ervin Santana but not 1/8-10 for Stephen Drew? Is this really never going to happen because of some beef with Boras?
This is so childish.
They need to DL him. Let him f***ing properly recover.
They should've rested him last week. It's absolutely insane that he played in Montreal. Mind blowing.
