Only regression equation to be run for Saturday:
Y(Enjoyment)= a +B(Hookers) +B1(Blow) +B2(Rum) + B3(Ryan Goins Grandslam) + Error
Which has the most predictive power? Tough call really.
Gotta at least have a few! Hurl was telling me he has a good spot to go to after the game.
Boys, leave your calculators at home for Saturday please. If someone starts running a regression at the bar things are gonna get ugly.
I'm assuming we're all getting wasted after the game correct? Just got my bonus and I'm ready for a big night.
You guys better not pussy out. No excuses.
JPA's bank account does not have that much in it (relatively speaking). If he makes it to 6M in career earnings (half of which goes to tax and I;m sure a large % of it was spent on stupid s***) it'll be a miracle.
His insurance policy is his musician wife. Smart move getting that locked in before he washes out.
Last year on OD we had Mark DeRosa, Bonifacio, JPA, and Melky-with-a-tumor playing defense.
The defense is night and day compared to the start of the season last year.
Who do you fire though? This team is in the situation it's in because of reckless spending of Arte Moreno. It's not Sciocias's fault that they keep bringing in these past-prime scrubs.
Not saying I dont like Santos. He just makes me nervous.
Most of the hate tonight was directed towards Gibbons anyways. Buehrle should've been given the chance to finish the game.
He threw 25 innings last year!
The stuff is undeniable but the control is definitely not on the level of a Janssen. He nibbles too much. That slider is just filthy. Throw it consistently for strikes and you've got a gem.
The Angels are nothing short of a disaster. Brutal pitching depth. Aging players with some of the worst contracts in the game. Pujols looks like he's almost done and they still owe him 189 million dollars!!!!
In 2017, they'll be paying a combined 58 million dollars for Hamilton and Pujols and they'd be lucky to get 3-4 WAR combined out of the two of them!
People can dismiss the importance of managers in baseball and other sports... but Popovich truly is a wizard. The way he keeps this team on top is actually a miracle. They're so old yet this might even be their best team yet. It's just a pure culture of winning. Duncan taking that huge paycut to give them payroll flexibility was hugely important too though.
