He's been plunked on the hands way more than the average hitter. This is not a fluke. There is obviously something about his stance that is causing this. He's a high risk guy with a long history of hand problems. Unacceptable.
The Jays are paying Lawrie to play for them. He is an asset and you always protect your assets. You make it sound like the likelihood of Lawrie getting plunked on the hands is the same as a pitcher getting drilled in the head with a line drive.

Both Lawrie and Poulous are at fault for this. It's mind blowing to me that Lawrie was not wearing a hand protector after getting plunked twice already this week.
